Neither of these books say how many pages they have so it is not possible from the description to tell how they differ. I'm sending mine back. This book was advertised as a beautiful coffee table quality book full of illustrations as to how things worked and tips to fashion low tech items. What I received was pure text, no illustrations at all and poor instructions as how to find resources. While I didn't expect the paper back version to have the same level of quality as the hardcover I did expect it to contain the same material, illustrations and still be 'coffee table worthy' the quality of this was of someone printing off a word doc and binding it.
