For several years, I've been using telescopic stools similar to this design, and I've enjoyed their lightness and portability. The carry handle makes it a breeze to take them on my fifty-minute walks. They set up and pack away in just a couple of seconds. What's unique about this particular model is the inclusion of a seat cushion, which I haven't encountered before. Surprisingly, these stools are comfortable even without a cushion. While the cushion does enhance the comfort, I wouldn't say it's a necessity. What I particularly like is the slight increase in height it provides. As a tall person, I often find these stools a bit short, so the cushion's bonus height is a welcome touch for me and I personally would now buy one with a cushion if the price difference was not that great. That said, I've noted a few things from my experience with these types of stools: 1. They tend to have a limited lifespan, usually about 18 months to two years, and I've had two of mine collapse unexpectedly while sitting on them, which was quite disconcerting! 2. After some time, they can get a bit stiff to fold up and take several attempts to set up or pack away. WD40 tends to be a helpful solution. 3. If dirt or gravel gets into the mechanism, it can make collapsing them a hassle. A little shaking generally helps free any debris. 4. It's also essential to set them up on reasonably level ground to avoid tipping. 5. At times, I longed for back support. Here, I can I recommend the TVON Folding Chair with Backrest, although it is bulkier and heavier. In summary, this stool is remarkably portable, compact, and surprisingly comfortable, albeit slightly on the low side. However, I have concerns about the long-term durability based on past experience with other stools of the same general design. The absence of back support is something to consider. We bought two of these stools to take with us to watch the fireworks in London on New Years Eve. We needed something small enough to sneak past the searches, but durable enough to take my considerable weight (19st). These were absolutely perfect. We didn't sit on them all night but probably for an hour or so. I can't say that the most comfortable things I've ever sat on, but they're certainly good enough for a short stint when you just need to rest your legs. Somebody with a slightly smaller backside will probably find them more comfortable. They feel solid and sturdy and at no point did I feel like I was about to crush the thing. Read more
