Superb engineering and component selection, keyboard is a pleasure to use, and the vast choice of options to use in/on the fabulous screenpad 2 is just even more impressive. Asus are world leaders, innovators and high quality premium laptop makers, this is the second Zenbook i purchased, the other UX303UA now 7 years old and still as good as day 1, i also have a ROG G750 also about 5 years old, plus a surface book 2. This asus sits wit the very best laptops. Webcam and sound is super quality, great for home working, secure and safe. No bloatware, just set up the brilliant windows 10 and away you go. Boot time (off to desktop including authentication) is 4 seconds, shutdown (Desktop to full power down) is a decent 11.5 seconds. Battery life seems to last upwards of 8 hours comfortably between charges, that's with WIFI, screenpad, screen at minimum of 65% brightness and a USB wireless mouse in use too. I've had this for a few days and I am very pleased with the performance. Everything works as it should, the touch screen is good and very clear, although the glossy screen does cause some problems if you want to use it outdoors. I thought that the small second screen/touchpad would be useful, but I haven't really found a practical use for it so far. I found the case to be very slippery - care is needed if you put it down on edge - and it shows fingerprints badly, but they are easily cleaned. Build quality feels good, it's not full of bloatware, face recognition works every time (whether I have my glasses on or not!) and overall I fully recommend this laptop. Read more
