Strongly recommend plugging it into the computer and modifying the settings/notepad txt file for your desired use. - Device recording quality is good if well placed away from consistent noisy devices/settings. - Continuous recording is the default setting and works well for 28-40 hours. I configured the voice activated recording from the txt file but that doesn't much impact the devices recording uptime. It seems to stop recording anything after 36 hours and you have to reset it. - The recording files are timestamped at the point of saving. So the recording would be the last two hours of content under default settings. Recommend dropping it down if setting to voice activated as saved segments will just continue under the same file until the set time is reached. i.e if you have the default record time it will save until the max of 2 hours is reached and nothing is timestamped for that duration so you can't filter through the content accurately. I haven't been able to figure out how much the device is charged at any given time usually just charging it after use. It's build quality feels nice, goes great on a keychain but will pickup pocket sounds and whatnot even if you max out the noise reduction setting. All in all its fine for the money's worth but I probably wouldn't purchase it a 2nd time if something happened to this one. Read more

I'm very impressed with this little recorder. It couldn't be much easier to use (just flip the switch to ON and it starts recording), and the recording quality is much better than I expected. I had this in my shirt pocket in a loud warehouse environment, and the recordings are perfectly clear and easy to listen to. Voices come out strong against the background noise. I'm not sure how well it would work at different distances or from a pants pocket, but in my scenario, it was very good. Offloading the recordings is as easy as dragging files from a thumb drive. If you can do that, you're set. It also comes with an adapter so you can listen to the recordings directly from the device, if desired. (Though I did not try this.)
