Cooling fan works well. The lanyard option is a bit heavy but the the belt clip is really the best way to use. You can have it blowing under your shirt. Trying to get it blowing on your face directly is a little more challenging.seems a bit expensive for what it is, however, it does come with a cooling plate that can be turned on and is cool to the touch. I've never seen a portable fan that also came with its own little cooling device attached to it, and I gotta say, I am HOOKED now. This is a bit heavier than your typical lanyard/waistband fan because (I'm assuming) of what's needed to add the cooling device in there. I love that it gives the option of wearing around the neck, at the waistband, and has that little clippy to also prop it up at my desk at the office. Our boss doesn't use a lot of AC and by the end of the day, the temperatures climb up. This keeps me nice and cool at my desk or after a lunchtime walk. Battery seems to last a long time on a charge, which is great. It pushes a TON of air out even at 1% power option. Just be aware--it's very, very loud. My coworkers joke around that I've got drones at my desk when I use it. If you're using it outdoors or if you work in an active industry (e.g. construction), it may not go as noticed as it does in neighboring cubicles. This particular device initially caught my eye from its compactness and promised multi-use (in particular, I enjoyed the dual belt clips and kickstand and ability to hang it around your neck if you so choose). First and foremost, it is a powerful little fan, and that power also comes with a lot of noise. The lowest setting gives a decent breeze and a tolerable amount of noise. I would guess that if you're taking this to an already noisy environment (such as amusement parks, festivals, construction sites, etc) the noise level wouldn't really be an issue. I love how it clips to your belt and the outer clip can hold on to your shirt so it doesn't block the intake. Here's where the hype falls a bit flat. The cooling plate's usefulness does not extend past physically pressing it against your skin to cool you off. If you're wanting colder-than-room-temp air to be blown out, you will be disappointed. The cooling plate uses the Peltier Effect to create a cold surface on the outside, but that same process creates a lot of heat on the other side. Unfortunately, there's no secondary fan to dissipate the excess heat.. From what I can see, all the heat is dumped into the main airflow, meaning the outgoing air is warmed. To confirm this, I used a basic temperature/humidity monitor. I let the fan run on low for 5 minutes (cooling plate off) to establish a baseline, then turned the cooling plate on. The result? No noticeable drop in temperature. The light feature is actually quite bright and has been useful, and I was able to get it to charge my phone, although slowly. It's definitely not a go-to choice for emergency charging, but it can do in a pinch. TL;DR - It's a decent little device that can move some air, charge a phone in a pinch, and is fairly portable. I've found that many similar products are too heavy and bulky, often tipping forward when worn on the waist, even with both clips secured. This makes them uncomfortable and ineffective. This fan, however, has a noticeably slimmer design and feels great thanks to its silicone body, a welcome change from plastic. The metal clips are also a significant improvement over other brands, providing excellent sturdiness. While it works well on a belt, it does tip forward slightly when clipped directly to jeans without a belt. However, using the clip on a shirt helps to stabilize it. My preference is to wear it around my neck with the lanyard. It's very comfortable when walking or even with a light jog (I have not run with it). It does not bounce and hit me in the face or chest. And the air flow is fantastic! It is a bit loud, which is understandable given that the fan is enclosed. I particularly appreciate the built-in kickstand, which makes it very convenient to use on a desk. The advertised battery life is 3 hours at the highest speed. In my testing, I found it lasted 5 hours, in 1 hour increments at 100% speed and still had 30% battery remaining. Even after a week of not using it, the battery level remained at 30%. The integrated light is impressively bright, which is a definite plus. My only minor critique is that the battery level isn't visible when the fan is on; you can only see the speed setting. It does show the percentage of battery left when you first turn it on and just as you turn it off. I love that it shows the actual percentage left rather than using bars.
