My mind is absolutely blown away at just how many languages this actually, real-time translates to make an easy flowing conversation between two separate languages. It almost seems futuristic. I mean 144 languages, really!?! It is pure magic. I would never meet enough people in my life to use all of the languages, but knowing it's possible, makes them priceless. But, I will be meeting several people from all over the world for a medical conference and never thought I would be able to carry on real conversations instead of having to use my phone and show them what I was trying to ask or answer. You have no idea how excited to be able to learn all that I can about my rare illness from the specialist from Germany, Brazil, and others. I couldn't possibly put a price on healthy treatments out there that doctors may not be implementing here in the U.S. and comparing symptoms, treatments, advances and make friends going through the same struggles as I am and to build long-lasting friendships. Even being invaluable to me, the price could be much more and I would still be happy as can be. I have already been able to carry on a conversation with some contractors helping me with my house which made me feel empowered. I handed him an earpiece with a cotton wipe (to make him more comfortable) and was able to explain, in detail what I needed and he smiled at each word we could understand. He was so thrilled as well, and had his workers check it out. Their eyes lit up like they had also seen something from the future. I was able to connect them really easy to my phone and once I put the app on my phone I was able to get started!!! To say I was surprised was an understatement!! Physically, the product is well-designed. The case and earbuds are attractive and modern. However, it fails at its use case and the software. The earbuds are not user-friendly. I work in tech, so I was able to get everything connected. But this is not something a layman can just pick up and use. The manual doesn't explain things well and has no directions on how to get started with the device. It's a guessing game. You have to use your mobile device's Bluetooth connection feature under Settings to manually connect each earbud. Most Bluetooth devices of this sort see both earbuds as one device, and you connect them by just keeping the charging case open. For this device, you have to take the earbuds out of the case and manually search for them in your device's list. Not intuitive at all. After the earbuds are connected, you have to go into the app and connect them there again. Here's the kicker. You can't connect both of them at the same time. It doesn't allow you, so you're left with choosing to either use the left or right earbud. Above all, the translation is 100% dependent on your own mobile device's abilities. These are not standalone AI-powered translation earbuds. Yes, it's too good to be true and, technically, wouldn't even be possible at this time, let alone at this price point. The app is for a watch and the instructions tell you how to get to the translation with the earbuds in the app. The language support is good. It’s got all different types of language for the countries. All different types of English are different types of Spanish, which is good. It’s not just Spain for Spanish. It’s not just English for the US. The sound quality of it is good. I thought it would translate different in both earbuds but no it does not you speak it into the earbud and it will translate it on the phone and ear buds. i’m still learning it still a little confused about it.
