This board has a wonderful, poppy sound. The build quality is great, the switches are swappable, but I don't see myself needing to do this, because the switches are actually really comfortable to use and are very smooth. I'm not a big fan of the keycaps, but I don't mind them for the entirety of the package. So why four stars? Well for one thing, it has no feet to raise the keyboard, meaning I can't adjust it's height. This means that I'm slightly uncomfortable using it, but if I put something in the back to raise it (like a cable, for instance) it raises it enough that it doesn't bother me anymore. It feels weird to have a keyboard without adjustable feet. Is that enough to take a star off for? I think yes. Overall, the keyboard is easy to use, a real joy to use in general if you like this size of keyboard (I like having a numpad, sorry!) and the lighting effects are actually pretty cool. Would I pay this much for this keyboard? Ehh... Epomaker is pretty well known for making good products in the keeb space, and Aula is fast becoming one of my favorites too. My current daily driver is a Royal Kludge and even though I've modded it, it doesn't sound nearly as good as this one does, and that's right out of the box. So yeah, I'd say that the value per dollar is there for this, I could recommend it if you like these 60% keyboards and you don't want the extra keys. The Aula F65 Pro is a pretty good value for a gasket mount 65% board with a decently solid design and the availability of tactile Icesoul switches right from the factory. Tactiles are less common to find these days and is definitely a selling point for some as not everyone likes linears. Some pros: • The icesoul switches are a crisp light tactile with a short but pronounced bump and are lubed • Dampened gasket mount design with foam and other materials gives a pleasant sound profile • 1000Hz polling on wired and 2.4 Ghz, which I tested using Keyboard Inspector • The build is overall decently solid • Side accent lights on the lower edge of the keyboard • Shine though keycaps give a nice effect, though the topo theme isn't for everyone • Volume knob which can function as mute or Home key on press and other features. • Hotswap design compatible with 3 or 5 pin Some nitpicks: • Side accent lighting has limited adjustments though preset colours and patterns • Uses the switch lights for status changes such as Caps Lock • Driver is pretty basic but typical for this price range • Only one keyboard height, no adjustable feet. • Topo theme is of an acquired taste • Solid over all but no real stand out features to differentiate it from competition • The non-pro variant without the knob has more stylish designs in my opinion including a white chassis which these do not have the option for The Longer Review: Aula's other F75 model is a fairly popular design for the price but for those who want a 65% in that style that is where this comes in. It shares the same multi dampening and gasket mounted design that keeps the sounds pleasant and creamy. On this variant it has the icesoul switches which are tactile instead of the more typical linears seen on most boards these days in this segment. I've used these switches before and they have a fairly noticable bump profile at the immediate top of the switch through with almost no pre-travel before that resistance is felt. Switch registration comes shortly after the bump with a tiny amount of post-travel -- it is technically possible to cycle the swtich without resetting though the bump, though its a very slim window. Otherwise they are not too heavy of a switch at all, though I think I personally still prefer linear for gaming and those are available as well. These switches have a clear design that allow the RGB to shine though without much hindrance. There is a volume knob that can either function as a mute button or as the home key as that is excluded in the design, and it can also be switched to control the lighting though that is already available though the Fn key anyway. The RGB itself is on the more basic side, you have a few animated patterns and preset colours that can be cycled on the board, with per key custom lighting available though the driver. I tend to set it to one custom colour and then leave it there as I have done in the photos with a custom mint green and golden yellow hue. The topo themed keycaps are double shot PBT and are all right, pretty typical of what is included on most boards in this range. They're not super heavy, are cherry profile and allow the light to shine though the legends on the front side as well as the topo lines themselves. These lines actually give a bit of a tiny change in the texture where they are present, most noticeable on the spacebar. I'm not crazy about the theme but the lighting looks nice. The side lighting can bleed into the left and right hand of the keyboard throwing off the color of those few switches however, it can also be disabled fully. It is an all plastic build but everything feels well put together and it weighed in at 711 grams not including the cable. Typing performance is quite nice and the tactiles give you some more feedback, however there is only one typing angle with no adjustable feet. It is a flex cut design, and that along with the gasket mount and dampening it has a fairly soft bottoming out feel. Pinging is just about absent all together, and the stabilizers are lubed and generally pretty well done as far as sound is concerned. In the box you get a basic cable, a cap/switch puller as well as a couple spare switches. I pulled up Keyboard Inspector and it showed as registering at 1000hz on my test, though Bluetooth mode won't be able to do that only wired and 2.4. There is an optional driver available on their site which is basic, but it works. You can remap some switches with macros and commands, there's two extra Fn layers as well as a tap function (hold for a different input.) There's a very barebones custom lighting panel which honestly is a bit of a pain to use, but once its set then you don't have to bother with it. A slight annoyance for me personally is the board uses the key lights to denote certain statuses, such as changing the caps lock key colour when it is toggled. I prefer notification lights for this purpose as to not throw off the RGB but its a small detail. When on sale or this can be a solid option for a compact board with this sound profile and tactile switches in an overall solid build, though I find for the at time listed of nearly $100 then you are starting to push closer to options that might be more competitive. I feel that a different set of caps would also make this look much more high end vs the topo, but that is my personal taste. Read more

I own alot of mechanical keyboards ranging from 60% way up to 100% and my favorites layouts is 65-78 So when i saw this one which is 65% and also has a volume knob and even wireless and the cool topographic key caps i wanted to to give it a try. When i first received it first thing i notice is it has a good weight to it which is around 1.8lbs and i do like all my keyboards on the heavy side so i do like the weight of this one than just the all around look of this keyboard looks really nice with the black all around look and the silver volume knob and than the topographic keycaps gives it a really sharp look, Than it has a very nice typing feel to it with the lebog icesoul tactile switch which i chosen has a nice creamy tactile feel and sound to them and a nice bounce to them on lift off and the shine through pbt keycaps feels great and they also have pretty decent thick walls to them than the gasket mount works really well on this keyboard which out of all my 65% keyboards this one feels the best out of them all and the volume knob works great and if you hold it down for a second or 2 it will switch so it can change the rgb settings and it is made out of metal. Than the rgb lighting is really great looking it's bright and colorful and it gives the perfect shine through the top of the keycaps design and the front facing legend's and you can also do per key lighting through the software if you choose to use it which i did cause i like having my own color design on my keyboards than i also love the rgb side light which you can change the effect by using FN and right shift key which all the commands are stated in the instructions manual which is well put together. Than the battery life has been really good for me while running on bluetooth and having the brightness on max i got around 3days till around 19% it was showing under bluetooth settings when i put it on charge it and it will let you know when the battery is low by blinking the fn key and the backlit will turn off which i did notice around 30% it started doing that so it does seem like it's set a bit to high unless you have to run the battery down multiple times to break in the battery more which i had keyboards that needed that but in my opinion the battery life is really good. I have no cons to say about this keyboard it's a very solid 65% board and has a a great typing feel and sound to it and really nice look to it while also having a really good battery life and you get a good usb non braided usb cable which most of the time i prefer a non braided cable than you get a keycap and switch combo puller and 2 extra switch's and right now this is pretty much my favorite feeling 65% board i have now epomaker did a really great job designing this keyboard and i do recommend it and it does get a solid 5 stars from me cause i do love it👍 Read more

I ordered this mechanical keyboard because I liked the layout and the keycaps. It is the first keyboard I have tried with the letters on the bottom edges. I was surprised by the really smooth typing experience on it and very lovely bright rgb. The keyboard comes with the standard flimsy key puller and switch puller. A pretty standard USB cord, a plastic keyboard cover for keeping dust off. Instructions and 2 extra switches. I chose the Leobog Ice Crystal switch. They are linear and very creamy feeling. They seem to have a shorter actuation point then what I am used to. Very nice though. You can use the keyboard shortcuts for most rgb effects but the software has a bunch of cool audio effects and gives the ability to customize the keyboard in greater detail. You can get the software from Epomakers site. I really love some of the audio effects . They rock. The keyboard hooks up via Bluetooth. USB Cable or a 2.4ghz dongle. I prefer using the dongle . The options are nice to have though. You charge it up with the usb cable. The keeb has a bunch of gaskets and padding inside of it. Making it sound ultra creamy right out of the box. Not much mods are needed with this one. The stabilizers are really nice . Everything is pre-lubed. The only mod I did was put some foam under the space bar to reduce the hollow sounding effect. For most the keyboard will be fine out of the box but the ability to mod it is there. You can hot swap any switch. Change keycaps. Open it up and add or reduce more foams. Switch the stabilizers. Mod them. It is the full kit. The nob is pretty cool. You can switch its functions in the software. Click it or turn it. A must have for music lovers who want a volume rocker on their keyboard. It has side lighting as well. The only thing I did not like is the keyboard has no feet to angle it up. It just has 4 pads. Which I found strange. I usually angle mine up for typing.
