Solo nightmare, can't speak to the multiplayer aspect, but playing by yourself is an exercise in self-flagellation. You absolutely do not need PS Plus to play. Simply set game to Play Offline in Settings, or when at the Expedition Screen, select Solo Expedition. Patches incoming to address solo play quality of life; it remains to be seen how the game shapes up over time. It is a Rogue-like with a diminishing playable zone; as the circle of Night closes in, you are forced inward towards inevitable boss battles. Begin from level 1 each playthrough, and strive for efficient and lucky ascension, that you might slay Lords. A sort of Elden Ring randomizer, you'll never face the exact same circumstances, equipment or enemy sets between playthroughs. This game is such a huge disappointment. Save your money and do a full speed run thru of any random area of the regular version of Eldenring and then delete all of your progress and try it again that’s the concept of this game.
