Each brush is designed to handle a range of products—liquid, cream, and powder—making it easy to apply foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, contour, highlighter, and eyeshadow with precision. The bristles are incredibly soft—noticeably so—but still firm enough to work well with thicker formulas. Though slightly on the pricier side, the quality makes it worthwhile. They feel durable and well-made, with no shedding so far. Another plus: there’s no unpleasant odor, which can sometimes be an issue with new brushes. These arrived clean and fresh, and they’ve stayed that way with proper care. Keeping them clean is important. Depending on how often and what type of products are used, washing every 10 to 14 uses seems to be a good rule of thumb. Regular maintenance helps preserve their softness and performance. Comes with a little note on what each brush should be used for which was handy, especially if you’re new to makeup and not sure which brush does what. Received to review, opinions are completely my own. I actually picked these up as a gift for my sister. She has really embraced doing elaborate eye makeup the last few years, and I just knew she would love how many brush choices this set ended up giving her without having to dig through a pile of individual brushes. I was correct, she was thrilled. She uses a lot of different colours, and achieves some super funky looks, but she was getting frustrated with not having enough brush choices for the amount of colours she wanted to use. These brushes gave her the ability to use as many colours as she wished, without running out of brushes, or having to clean them in between colours, so as not to muddy each colour on the brush before even applying. I know these are higher in price than just going and picking out a few individual brushes, but you really do not realize how much easier it can be to perfect your makeup when you have more brush choices, until you get to the point where you were wishing you had more choices. Quality makeup is important, but quality brushes are even more important. She really had been focusing more on the makeup she was buying, than the brushes, and was finally at the point of not being able to do what she wanted with the brushes she had. Now she is only limited by her imagination, not the brushes she has to work with. My one small complaint, but not enough to take off a star, is that I do wish they came with some kind of bag/carry case, as I've seen less expensive, not nearly as nice sets from other makers, include at least a makeup bag when it's a full set of brushes. If you do not already have a nice brush bag, you can use the box they came in for storage, but some kind of brush bag would have been nice to have been included, especially as the double end on most of these means you can't store them in a cup on your vanity, they need to lay down.
