Takes about 20-30 min to get to 149F (high). I like at high and med and put tea bag in for 10 min or more after 10 min of being on or more-. I had one i got on kickstarter, but base(plastic) around terminals melted . Then i purchased a cup warmer does okay but have to heat up cup in microwave to get liquid hot and the warmer maintains the heat of the liquid. I have absolutely been loving this Kepwam Heated Mug. Here are some of my favorite things about it: 1. First of all, the color is gorgeous! Much more vibrant in person than online. 2. I have such an issue with making a coffee and completely forgetting about it. Once I remember, my coffee is cold! Kepwam keeps my drinks at the perfect temp for as long as I need. 3. Another thing I like on this particular model is the power button is a physical button, not a touch button. This keeps me from accidentally turning off my mug. 4. Great for on the go as well as it comes with closable lid! 5. Opposed to other heated mugs on the market, this mug is much larger. Even on the largest Keurig setting there is still room for cream. The mug came well packaged. The directions are very easy to understand. Initial impressions of the mug: great color, substantial weight but not too heavy, sleek design, and impressed. I'm a heavy coffee drinker, so I drink coffee from about 8:30 am to lunch, usually 11:30am. I work from home so this mug is super useful for my situation. I like my coffee hot so the different levels of heat was great. I mostly used the hotter two out of the three levels. I put my milk or creamer in the mug first then adjusted the heat to the highest level then put my coffee in the mug. The lid is very useful for keeping the coffee hot and also heating the coffee up takes less time with the lid on. After my cream and coffee are really hot (about 10 minutes) I adjust the temperature to the middle level. When the mug is fully charged it lasted at least 3 hours of continuous use at the middle or hottest setting. I could see this mug working for someone who works from home or in an office setting. However, the shape of the mug doesn't fit in my car's drink holder so it's not great for travel in my opinion. It is also really easy to hand clean. Be aware, don't put it in the microwave or dishwasher. Overall I would recommend this self heating mug. Read more
