I’ve been using the ZORNHER ZH980 Sea Moonlight for almost a week now, and overall, I’m very impressed. I've found myself liking this keyboard more than I thought I would. It definitely checks most of the boxes I was looking for in a mid-range 95% custom mechanical board. ✅ Aesthetics: The Sea Moonlight theme is stunning. The soft, pastel color palette combined with the shine-through dye-sublimated PBT keycaps gives it a unique, dreamy look and is much more attractive than most standard gaming keyboards. The dark translucent case actually looks pretty cool and adds to the dreamscape-like aesthetic of the board. It definitely stands out on my desk. ✅ Typing Feel: The pre-lubed linear switches are buttery smooth and "thocky." The stabilizers feel decent out of the box, and there is no excessive rattle on the spacebar or shift keys, which is impressive at this price. It should be noted that the product description under the "Specification" graphic seems to indicate that this keyboard comes with Gateron Jupiter Banana switches (which are tactile switches), but the switches on this board are definitely linear, which is what I prefer anyway. ✅ Hot-Swappable: One of the stand-out features of this keyboard is the hot-swappable PCB. If you’re into customizing your typing feel, this is a great feature. This board accepts both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, so compatibility with a wide range of switches is definitely there. I rather like the switches that came with this board, so I don't plan to replace the switches at this point. ✅ Connectivity: The tri-mode connectivity (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired) via the slider on the left side of the board works seamlessly and makes switching between modes very easy. I’ve primarily used it in 2.4GHz mode and haven’t had any noticeable latency issues while gaming or working. Bluetooth works well for most tasks, though it's an older protocol (Bluetooth v5.0). If you plan on gaming with this board, make sure you use it wired or use the 2.4GHz wireless mode. The connectivity options work great with my keyboard, and the keyboard looks really awesome- the shine-through plastic is super reminiscent of the old-school Gameboy Color casing I used to have when the LEDs shine through it. The linear switches are super creamy- like slicing through buttercream- and have a deep thocky sound when bottoming out. Typing feels amazing. The keys don’t wobble much when I rest my fingers on them, and the “texturizing” on the gaming keys helps keep my fingers stable in-game. The partial shine-through design, paired with the overall smoothness of the keycaps, feels premium and looks great, blending nicely with the clear plastic case as the light diffuses underneath. I’d say it’s fairly priced because of how unique the case is in combination with this near full-size form factor. I can only name a few keyboards with this kind of translucent casing, but they’re all in smaller layouts. I've been trying to find a keyboard that I like to replace my old one for a while and this one is really cool. The design is unique and interesting. It has a very solid heft to it and stays in place well during use. I really appreciate the awesome CLAWK sound the keys make when pressed, no annoying clacky sound! I have alot of mechanical keyboards but when i saw this one i really loved the design theme it has going for it with it's transparent case and the cool looking sea moonshine keycaps and i did wanted another 95% layout keyboard so i wanted to try this keyboard out when i saw it. First thing i notice is it is a very solid feeling keyboard has a good weight of 2.5lbs and the transparent case looks very nice and the same can be said about the pbt keycaps with the sea moonshine theme going on i also notice the feet stands are different than the ones on my other keyboards and feels more solid while also having a big rubber ring pads around them which makes this keyboard stay were i put it at on my desk. Than the typing feel and sound of this keyboard is probably the best out of all my keyboards the gateron banana linear switches with the pbt keycaps feels nice and smooth and creamy while also having a nice thocking creamy sound and with the gasket mount and all the other stuff that is in this keyboard it all goes together for a really nice feeling keyboard. The backlit on this keyboard is also really nice and bright the shine through on the front facing legends is clear and easy to see and has alot of cool effects on it than with the software it has alot more to do with effects and per key lighting and while you don't have to use the software cause it's not needed to function i still like using the software's for all my keyboards cause i like to bind some keys like for f6 and f7 i put volume up and down on those which was easy to do on this keyboard. The battery life with it's 6000mah is also very good on bluetooth while also having max backlit brightness and having the sleep time in the software set for 5mins and at 10% the backlit went off and started blinking red and at 8% battery i plugged it in to charge it which lasted little pass 4 days which in my opinion is very good and this can vary for others how long they use it through out the days so do keep that in mind and from my testing i do believe their times that is stated for it. I have 0 cons to say about this keyboard and to be honest i was not even sure about getting this keyboard at first cause having no volume knob or little lcd i was not sure about the current value at first cause it can look steep but those 2 things that is not on this keyboard all the cost went all into what matters the most the keyboard it self and all what was put in it which does make this keyboard feel and sound very premium so for me i give this a solid 5 stars cause i really love it👍 Read more

Man the sound this keyboard makes when typing is "chef's kiss". Very spongy base plate which makes for a very comfortable typing experience. LOVE the keycap colors. Very nice feel and font looks great on the keys as well. Switches are South facing LED's so keep that in mind when you want to change our your keycaps. Love how many connections you can have with this to include the usb dongle hidden in the back. LED's are bright with very good shine through but without to much bleed over due to the semi transparent case. This is easily, hands down, the best mechanical keyboard I have ever had the joy to use. Everything about this keyboard makes me happy. THE COLOR: Green is my favorite color, and the fact that this keyboard uses a green gradient is awesome. The keyboard ranges from a deep emerald to an almost yello-green. Together, when seen from a distance, it gives "radioactive" vibes. Awesome. THE SOUND: Do you want clicky keys? HERE THEY ARE!!! This keyboard has the most "click" out of any keyboard I have used, except the IBM Model M. My colleagues ran into my office to see what I was typing on because it was so clicky, and my co-workers are tech heads from the 1980's. Honestly, the sound will transport you back to the infancy of the PC, with merely the sound of a singly keystroke. THE WEIGHT: This is also the heaviest keyboard I have ever used. As soon as I lifted the box containing the keyboard, in my mind, I simply said "Quality". This thing is not sliding around your desktop, by any means. This is not something you would want to drop on your foot, that is how hefty this thing is. Again, awesome. THE FEATURES: This is also the only keyboard that has inspired me to ask, "OK, where is the manual?" Luckily, this keyboard is fully documented! So perhaps the most useful features are the 3 different connection types. The keyboard can connect to devices using Wi-Fi @2.4G, using an included USB-A to USB-C cable, or using BlueTooth. Under of the the feet of the keyboard, a USB dongle is hidden away for Wi-Fi connections. The backlight is excellent, and uses a wide spectrum of colors, not simply RBG. Using the FN+\ keys, there are 17 illumination modes, and they are all pretty mesmerizing. The function keys can be rebound to better work with both WINDOWS and MAC systems. BLUETOOTH RANGE: Up to 10 meters THE SIZE: The dimensions measure 380mmL x 140mmW x 30mmH, this is smaller than a "full size" keyboard, but still includes a separate NUM pad, awesome. MODE SELECTOR: On the left side of the keyboard, there is a three-mode switch which will allow the user to select which connection mode is preferred, either the Wi-Fi, Wired, or BlueTooth connection. The wired position also serves as the "off" mode when not connected. FEET: This keyboard has retractable feet which introduce a comfortable typing angle to the keyboard. Under one of these feet is where you will find the USB dongle has a little storage space. Just another area in which a lot of thought has been put into the design of this keyboard. THE INCLUDED EXTRAS: The keyboard came packaged with a key-extraction tool, a woven USB-A to USB-C cord (nice quality!!) and three extra key mechanisms, should you need to replace a key. None of these extras is just thrown in, they are of good quality, even though though normal use one should never really need these. OVERALL: A++ Without a doubt, this is the highest quality keyboard I have ever used, and I've been using them since the early 1980's. If you are disappointed with this keyboard, I would say the keyboard for you does not exist. I bought this when it had no reviews. The price was a little steep $99 with out tax. for just the keyboard. The reason why I bought this was cause I saw some videos of it on TikTok and I really wanted a green keyboard and it was the only green keyboard that I saw with a black backbone. Also the no show letter keys made it look super sleek. The only thing I don’t like about this keyboard is that it doesn’t have a control button on the right side and they usually use that button for Control P to print. I also wish that the page up the delete the page down instead of being little hearts they were actually what they were supposed to be, I did try other keyboards and this one was the best one. I love the little creamy click that it has when it says creamy click think of what a typewriter sounds like and then think of a louder smoother click it’s not like a typewriter sound so yes, I did try other keyboards. I really liked this one. The other keyboard I tried was AULA it was really cheap in comparison to this one. Also this keyboard is really heavy like you could tell as good quality I would recommend it. They have different colors on their website more so then on Amazon, but they’re also more expensive.
