I have trouble walking so sweeping and mopping takes me 2-3 hrs easily because I have to stop and sit constantly. I was able to do the floors in about 20 mins. I previously saw reviews saying the clean/dirty water tanks are difficult to remove....not true....they are easy to remove if you refer to the directions, if you try without looking at then then it bight be difficult. I took time to try removing & replacing tanks several times before using, it was a great help being familiar with their removal. Even with the after care of the machine it's way less time for me than to sweep and mop. I cannot believe how much dirt it cleaned off the floor. I ran the cleaning cycle 3 times afterwards (to empty the clean water tank) and it was still washing dirt out of the roller. I am amazed at how well it did. The only negative I found was I couldn't get under the edge of the dishwasher but my hubby swept all the trash out from under it for me and I just ran rt over it with this vacuum/mop and picked it rt up.
