great concept, terrible execution. i loved the idea of these but they don’t work. the part that holds the straw doesn’t allow the straw to go in all the way. there’s some sort of issue that doesn’t allow you to get a steady drink. it’s very airy and sounds like there’s a whole in the straw. it’s also worth mentioning that they did not show up as pictured. i received clear lids with one having pink accents and the other having blue. that’s very minimal and honestly wouldn’t have been a problem if they actually worked. Fit cans nicely, no longer have to worry about bugs flying in, also helps preserve the carbonation if it takes you longer to finish the can. This is best explained by the attached video, so hopefully that will make more sense. These can lids as they are, in my opinion, are not usable. But if I remove the built-in straw and use a separate straw (the longer included ones will work with a standard 16oz can, or you can use your own plastic/reusable straw), they are quite functional. I have been using mine for a week (as shown in the video) without issue. Personally, I prefer using my own disposable or clear straws, because I want to ensure those are changed/cleaned well after each use. The lids themselves work great, fit well, stay on, and give me what I needed for feeling more comfortable/confident when drinking my open seltzer cans at my desk. The built-in straw would have been nice, but the design leaves too much room for air between the straw's end (inside the can lid) and the drinker's mouth - so I end up inhaling more air than getting drink with each use. For the price, I'm happy with the small modification (removing the built-in straw) that works in my favor in order to use these lids. I deducted 1 star, because the built-in straw is completely unusable... even for a non-carbonated drink. I tested the can lid on regular fruit juice and carbonated seltzer waters and the amount of inhaled air was the same due to the poor straw design and the gapping in the lid under the straw/hole space. It was a simple fix to make these work exactly as I'd hoped. Read more
