Writing mostly to praise the customer support on this device. (The device is great, no complaints). I had issues when attempting to set up the VPN Client feature. This feature is awesome, it allows you to configure the router to connect to a VPN of your choosing by uploading a .ovpn file. Then, you can arbitrarily assign devices to use that VPN. This allows you to immediately protect any assigned device through the VPN without having to individually download VPN clients to each device. So, very handy. Only problem is it wasn't working. I contacted customer support. Each contact with customer support was less around 12 hours response. They asked for some additional information, escalated the issue, and in less than a week I had a custom firmware update for my router that fixed the whole issue. I have never seen that type of support for a device. Amazing. I imagine eventually the firmware fix will be rolled out to everyone, but the fact they pushed out a fix that quickly gives confidence that this device will only get better and better as they continue to support it. TP-Link, if you're listening, think it'd be awesome if you could load multiple VPN profiles (you already allow uploading 6) BUT then having multiple configs active at the same time and allowing assignment of devices to whichever VPN. Currently you are only allowed to have one active VPN and all assigned devices must use the same VPN (if they use the VPN at all...) In any case, great router, great support! Read more

Honestly this is the best router I've ever owned. I've had Netgear, Linksys, and whatever garbage Xfinity rents out. This takes the cake in terms of performance. The range is only slightly less than my previous Linksys router but it makes up for it in speed and stability. Also, the range might be slightly less but it performs better in the areas with weaker signal. It also covers areas better than my Linksys router so I think the beam convergence is much better. The icing on the cake is the Tether app. Makes setup and settings incredibly easy to set and change. Love it! I know recently there are worries about it being a Chinese company and cybersecurity issues and what not but honestly for me, it doesn't matter. The only thing they are going to see if they spy on me is Tik Tok videos and google searches to dumb questions. For me the $80 is worth it. Read more

Very Easy installation and works great in the UAE network, and support. Amazon Has Lost My Trust Amazon has become a huge disappointment. Orders from third-party sellers are always delayed, and customer service is no help—they just blame the seller and offer generic apologies without resolving anything. It is a great product for the price if you are looking for a 6E router that will not burn your wallet. The router is easy to set up with Etisalat. The mobile app is great and it has web interface for some advance setup and remote configuration. If you have IoT devices I would recommend splitting the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless. Router handles traffic well, especially when multiple devices are connected. had drops initially but been using it for almost a week I should say its getting better everyday, wifi range is marginally better than my prev router Tenda - AC5 AC1200 by a few tiny fts 😒 Tip: dont expect 6Ghz connectivity for iphones as they are not capable yet (yes, I meant the 14 pro max max😉), surprisingly some of top android phone have it. and unfortunately I couldn't test them 😂 I bought this router hoping this could be future proof (for atleast 5yrs) but once 6E becomes norm you may find cheaper routers too and now having second thoughts as this model has only 2400 mbps allocated for 6Ghz (food for thought) 🤗 To Seller: Buddy should I return and get other model ? Setting up the router was easy: start with admin password change/set new password configure name for SSID and choose to leave both separate or combine to smart switch. I selected smart option setup internet connection or skip. I choose to skip so I could copy info from my old router logged in to my old router from another device & setup internet side by sides Bandwidth, Speed, Coverage: wow it had long range with good bandwidth. I curranty had one main router and an extender as the main router could not cover my full house. I just replaced both with this one single router. even to the ends of my house I get 40-50MB bandwidth, which is like 2-3 walls behind.
