It's quite a MIDI instrument with amazing tone and versatility. No tuning needed of course. Chords are easily played. Due to the limitation on string touch things like finger hammering or note bending is not available. But for the fun of playing, adding drum patterns and changing keys it offers a good portable musical tool. USB recharge good for 8 hours makes it a low maintenance instrument. Read more

I have had guitars for many years but don't play them often enough to build callouses on my finger tips, nor to build enough hand/finger strength to fret certain chords cleanly without often having one or more strings buzz or not ring out because I am not pushing hard enough. (B7, C7, Barre chords etc.). Some minor arthritis in my left wrist doesn't help either. As a result I don't enjoy playing as much as I did 20-30 years ago. This instrument changes all that. With the Areoband guitar it is easy to form chords without these problems. The sound through the built-in speakers is surprisingly good. The capo ability is a big plus. Just push a button and you can tune up or down a semi-tone at a time. The availability of 9 different guitar sounds makes this a very versatile instrument. The "simplified left" had feature lets you fret chords with only one or two strings pressed. Hammer-ons and slides are available when the feature is turned on in the app. The MIDI capability adds a whole new dimension to be able to control virtual instruments or record in a DAW. Plus you can plug it into an amp or guitar processor like any guitar. The only missing capability compared to a regular guitar is you can't bend strings. I don't bend strings anyway when playing acoustic guitar. If I need to play/record a song with a lead part that includes bends, I will use an electric guitar. I’ve always had a problem picking up a guitar as, due to lack of time, I don’t get to build up the calluses on my hand. Now, obviously, that means I am not really a guitar player (more of a keys guys). But, I do like to pick up a guitar every now and then and hammer out a few ideas. This makes it so I do not mind picking up the guitar again. I’ve really enjoyed it. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the app is janky on Android. I had to pirate my in to getting the app to show up. I would think that Aeroband would be more together on their app front. But all in all, I enjoy playing the instrument. Read more

This is an absolute fun house of a guitar. I was super skeptical about how it would perform, but was blown away. Took a minute to put together and figure out how to turn it on, but once figured out my father in law and I were strumming and joking around. Looks easy to recharge using USB-C. Has an amplifier jack, head phone jack, and mic jack built in. Haven’t tried the drum loops yet, but the tune buttons on the head work great. Even comes with a handful of picks. I've played guitar for quite some time, acoustic and electric but never got very good. This would be super cool to start learning on, to travel with or to have out at a campfire. You can do most of the same stuff you can with a regular guitar but it doesn't do pull-offs. Hammer-ons are fine, sliding works, chords and such work out just fine as well. I've done some scales on it and its really easy. Its so simple, there's no real effort required in this at all. You can bluetooth this directly to your earephones and play without anyone else hearing you. You can also add the app and do all kinds of cool stuff, including built-in instructional. Its a bit pricy, but you can change the tone to 12 different sounds, and a bunch of different drum-kit options to play along to. I'm really happy with it! Read more

this is actually a pretty neat find. the sound and quality of it is on par for this magnitude of investment. visually helpful when trying to identify where you're touching on the fret board. multiple options for sound outputs and easy to adjust capo/sounds for an interactive experience. i wish it was left handed for me to play on, but for my daughter trying to dive into guitar more is perfect. First off the case it's nice lightweight, provides good protection for the guitar. Has shoulder straps so comfortable to wear. Also has a hand to hand carry it. It is a very soft case.And feels great to the touch. The zipper is very smooth. Though it does tend to pick up more dust and other pieces of dirt more easily. The guitar itself, seems very well made. Durable and solid. It is easy to hold and not too heavy. It is pretty easy to slide on the end, and to take it off. It also looks very stylish, it looks great. I've tried a regular guitar before, which is fun, but also, you really need to press your fingers, it's hard on the fingers. This one is so much better and so much easier. I might prefer this. And this is definitely better for beginner guitars than regular ones, in my opinion. So much easier to learn the guitar on this, I would say. I'm not sure if from an expert guitar person as I am not an expert on guitars. Put from a beginner perspective.I love this. The sound quality is very good, I can barely tell that it is not an electric guitar, it sounds very realistic. You can dim it quite a bit and also make it very loud. The controls are easy to figure out and do. The app was easy to get and to set up. And super helpful for help learning not only show which ones you press, but they have tutorials on learning songs and just general learning the guitar in general. So it is very helpful for a beginner. Not only that, you can control the different modes and stuff from the app. Even that, you can use it as a bluetooth speaker as well. And it is very high quality, I would say it's almost as good as my JBL speaker. It is also very useful if you want to play along with a song, you can play a youtube song and still play the guitar at the same time. I am more than impressed, I am super happy with this. I believe learning the guitar will be way easier on this. It is super helpful. This is a smart guitar, and I love it. Definitely worth the money. Also to change the strings, if you need to, it's also very simple and easy. I was worried.It may be hard, but it is not. They do not include any extra strings.
