I really like this shirt. Love the pattern and it's light and airy. I'm not sure about the fabric being able to hold the patterns' black. I have no reason to believe that it'll be a problem in the future 'except' it has always been a problem before. In the past they've always been cotton blends though. This has zero cotton. Having lived in Hawaii, I love Hawaiian shirts for the comfort in warm humid weather as they breathe better and are cooler than t-shirts. I also enjoy cruising, and they're perfect cruisewear as they're casual with shorts during the day and often dressy enough to wear to dinner with nice pants. I liked the look of this shirt online, but was even more impressed seeing it in person. It's a beautiful shade of mint green on white and definitely smart dinnerwear. The shirt is well made with good stitching and the fabric has a very nice soft feel that drapes nicely. I have an upcoming Caribbean cruise and this shirt will be coming along. I love this shirt. My normal style is functional, comfortable, not too flashy, but elegant for all occasions. I don't particularly prefer super formal clothes unless I am attending a work meeting or job interview. The Runcati Hawaiian Button Down Shirt is a perfect addition to my regular wardrobe. It was not an easy choice but now that I have made it and got this shirt I am very happy I got it. The styling of the Runcati Hawaiian Shirt is very comfortable, I wear medium and it fits perfectly, not too snug but comfortable so I can move my arms well. The material of the shirt is soft, breathable, and feels good on skin. It is not too stiff at the edges or seams and at the same time provides a good level of comfort for all occasions. It does not require ironing when dried appropriately so that is a big plus for me. I can wash and wear it without worrying about appearing haggard. I ordered this on a whim, to be honest. I'm going on a Caribbean cruise in January and needed some cool, "summery" shirts to wear on the trip. I saw this shirt and got the green print and it looks even better than it looked online. The construction is solid and there are no tags at the back of the neck. Instead, there is only a single tag down near the tail of the shirt along the side seam. This is great since it seems most behind-the-collar tags end up being scratchy. The shirt has a pocket and that pocket is actually big enough to be practical. Say, for keeping your sunglasses or phone for easy access while heading to the beach, as examples. I just love having a pocket "just in case" and this shirt provides. The construction seems solid, the seams are straight and no defects can be found. The polyester material is light enough to be cool, but isn't transparent at all. The size seems to be pretty accurate, but maybe just a teeny bit toward the smaller side, so if you're in-between sizes do consider picking the larger size. Read more

At first glance I didn’t care for this to much. I was a bit disappointed when I saw it.. That wasn’t the poor shirts fault though. My phone doesn’t always accurately display color. I thought what I ordered had leaves that were dark gray on a white background. They are definitely black. Some people would find me odd for ordering it as it is a man’s button front top. Buying men’s clothing for myself is not something I normally make a habit of, but when I saw this, I liked it. I thought of getting it because I remembered my mother used to always wear button down shirts and most of the time they were men’s. She used to say the reason she did that was because there was a much bigger selection for men and many were in very pretty and feminine colors. She also said more often than not they were better made and less expensive The reason this caught my eye is it made me think of a happy time with my husband. In 2006 we went on a Royal Caribbean 7 day cruise and we had the time of our life. Part of the fun started with the shopping we did for clothes to take. We were both pretty casual dressers. He did construction work. Most of his wardrobe consisted of jeans and pullover tops and when I wasn’t at work I dressed the same way. I worked in a law office so I had to dress nicer for work. My husband always wore solid colors. When we shopped for our cruise he really took me by surprise when he picked a shirt that screamed aloha. It was a pretty blue with big, bold, beautiful flowers all over it. The button were made of coconut shells. It was so different from his normal style that I thought he was kidding. I kid you not (yep, I’m so cheesy), he was as excited over that shirt as a little boy is over the presents under the tree on Christmas. The truth though is the only thing this shirt had in common with the one he liked were the big leaves covering it. That was enough for me. It complexly brightened my mood. I had been sad the last 2 days. The 28th of December was our wedding anniversary and he isn’t here to share those special days any longer. He passed away in March. After I got past the leaves being black and not gray and I removed it from the package I liked it a lot more. The fabric is very lightweight and it feels nice to the touch. I think it is meant to be a slim fitting shirt. It is made of 96% polyester and 4% elastase. I haven’t tried it on yet. My laziness has kept me in my pj’s all day. Tomorrow I will try it on with a pair of jeans. I think it would be cute with a dark gray or black cardigan. I also considered it might be cute with a more colorful but solid colored tank top or camisole and knotted at the waist. My husband wore a large most of the time and when I held this up I wasn’t sure it would have fit him. He wasn’t a great big guy. He did construction work for28 years so he was pmuscular in the arms, shoulders and back and slender throughout his lower body. If it fits me ,I’ll share a photo. I lost a lot of weight this year and getting clothes that fit has been to guess and hope for the best. I am 5’10 and 153 pounds. Years ago I wore a size 8 at 159 but I’m older now and have had to use a wheelchair the last six or seven years. The lack of muscle has me larger at a lower weight. The top seems made well enough. I didn’t notice any loose or unraveled stitching. It should launder well with little to no shrinking. If it turns out I am mistaken I will let you know. The tag inside near the bottom says to wash in cold water and to tumble dry on low. It also says not to soak or dry clean it. There is an extra button attached to the label. Guess what, I’m not sure if they are made of shell but the buttons look just like the ones made of coconut shells on the shirt my husband took such joy in. I didn’t even notice that until just now when I took a look to see what the washing instructions were. I’m a little surprised that this fit. I know the photo’s are close ups but it fit nicely everywhere. It makes me wonder if I was mistaken thinking it ran small or if I just think I look bigger then I do. Read more
