Using with a Sage machine - First thing you notice is this looks more professional. Its a longer handle, Tighter fit, more heavyweight, looks quality. There are many aspects to making an expresso other than grind, insert and turn on. Look through YouTube and you'll see its an obsession to get the perfect expresso. Whilst not that bad I do like to try and get towards that with some simple changes - Buy fresher beans, weigh beans 18-20g, purchase a WDT tool to distribute coffee in the filler better, better Tamper to apply correct pressure and then the Portafilter without the bottom to see how your coffee is being distributed- you want a nice central flow, if the flow is breaking up and looking like a leaky roof then you need to lower the grind and distribute more with the WDT tool. All trial and error and help improve the flavour of your coffee. Most will have spent well upwards on £500 + for a machine so why not try to maximise it!.
