I had also bought Epomaker’s sea salt silent switches incase I wanted to try them our as well, but these nimbus switches sound incredible and feel incredible on the fingers too. I was worried the keys would be hard to find for my fingers intuitively since i’m used to a different profile keyboard, however I actually find myself to be typing faster with this product. The cord which is very long allows it to charge which only takes a couple hours out of the box, handy lights tell you when it is fully charged. The dial can toggle either light modes (which are brilliant) or sound. It makes a satisfying clicking noise when turning that isn’t too loud but enough so you can feel it with your fingers. In conclusion, the quality, sound, and feel of this keyboard is intuitive and facilitates a very enjoyable typing experience. It’s colours and lights are beautiful and very customizable. I've been using this Bluetooth keyboard daily for about a month. The typing sound is impeccable, and there is a great variety of RGBs to choose from. The keyboard itself is very heavy/durable and the knob is convenient to use. In the box came all the necessary wires, spare switches, a handy cheat-sheet, as well as keycap puller, which I used to swap in some MOA keycaps for comfortable typing. Been in my list for a while because I was having second thoughts whether I should buy or not. I thought it won't be worth it for the price compared to well known brands. But glad I did! RGB lights are amazing!! You can switch the light effects, speed, and brightness in your favour. Keyboard sound? WOW! Just WOW! Creamyyyyy! Very satisfying! Also loved that the "0" in numpad is not the same size as others. (not an issue but depends on what you're used to.) Weight is a little heavier than average keyboards but really not an issue. It keeps it in it's place and prevents it from being moved. (especially if you have cats. 😂) If you're thinking that you might have a hard time seeing the letters / numbers / characters in the keyboard, don't worry I had the same thought before I bought them. I can assure you that you'll be able to see them clearly. So far I haven't encountered any issues after using for a day. Having brought 3 different keyboards over the last 5 weeks & sending them all back I decided to act on the notion that cheap is as cheap does ; Cheaply & this is amplified by the fact that i brought cheap & brought thrice. Over Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon i researched & researched & researched & came to the conclusion that a Quiet / Silent , Back-lit , Mechanical Keyboard that has a pleasant aesthetic is going to be costly. Through copious videos & reddit reads I came to a few brands, Aula (1), Epomaker (Read reddit posts , very FEW positive experiences AVOID), RK Royal Kludge (2 - I'll probably get one Seriously), Mochose, Feker Alice 98 (The quietest keyboard you'll find without customising) to name a few & the prices were / are something i don't feel comfortable with for a keyboard . . . . BUT!!! ======== R E V I E W B E L O W ========== I'm Genuinely blown away , The sound is wonderful , There is amongst keyboard enthusiasts (yeah it's a thing) this notion of THOCK which I would describe as a creamy Vanilla-esque Sound , very pleasing & quieter than videos show on YouTube (they have the mics much closer than your ear & the mics are probably more sensitive). The feel of the keyboard is the difference between quality plastics & cheaper junk, the weight is heavy for a keyboard ; very planted. Satisfying knowing this good looking tank isn't moving easily. The RGB is controllable via the knob in the top right which seaways into my only critique - it looks & feels cheap. The lighting isn't in your face and has different schemes to cater for everybody - although full customisation out the box doesn't appear obvious. I connected via Bluetooth , which was straight forward , even easier via Wi-Fi / RF 2.4ghz of which neither have i used extensively as hardwired connectivity is always the best option where possible. I absolutely recommend this , I was close to getting the black variant with the dusty golden grey gradient (still might in the future) but too many dark items aren't for me. bright and sunnier vibes are the only way to be. This is Thocking excellent so far! i ordered the cherry mx silent mechanic last switches because the YouTube videos are deceptively loud , I probably don't need the cherry switches but I'll see how they fair with the arrow & number pad area (that's where I game , if I ever bother too). Nach längerer Suche nach der perfekten mechanischen Tastatur bin ich auf die EPOMAKER X Aula F99 PRO gestoßen. Zuvor hatte ich eine mechanische Tastatur, die so laut war, dass sich meine Freunde im Discord beschwert haben. Aus Frust bin ich wieder zu meiner alten Logitech-Membrantastatur gewechselt. Aber der Wunsch nach einer neuen, leiseren mechanischen Tastatur blieb – und ich muss sagen: Diese hier hat mich überzeugt! Positiv: Das Tippgefühl ist einfach fantastisch. Die Haptik der Tastatur, besonders die Oberfläche der Tasten, fühlt sich unglaublich hochwertig an. Aber das Beste ist der Anschlag: So ein befriedigendes Tippgefühl hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr. Der Sound der Tasten ist ebenfalls ein Highlight. Jetzt verstehe ich endlich, was Leute meinen, wenn sie von diesem typischen "Thock"-Sound sprechen – ein angenehm dumpfes, sattes Geräusch, das nicht zu laut, aber extrem befriedigend ist. Der 8000mAh-Akku hält gefühlt ewig. Selbst bei intensiver Nutzung musste ich bisher kaum ans Aufladen denken. Auch die Reaktionszeit ist für mich absolut top – sei es beim Arbeiten oder beim Zocken, die Tastatur reagiert schnell und präzise. Ich bin so überzeugt von der Tastatur, dass ich ernsthaft darüber nachdenke, sie mir ein zweites Mal für meinen Arbeitsplatz zu kaufen. Das spricht wirklich für die Qualität und das Tippgefühl, das sie bietet. Negativ: Wer es leicht mag, könnte das Gewicht der Tastatur als Nachteil sehen. Sie ist wirklich schwer, was für den Transport nicht ideal ist. Mich persönlich stört das aber nicht, im Gegenteil – sie wirkt dadurch stabil und hochwertig. Ein klarer Minuspunkt ist allerdings die Software. Das Design ist alles andere als einladend und macht nicht wirklich Lust, sich damit auseinanderzusetzen. Glücklicherweise braucht man die Software nur, wenn man spezielle Makros oder ähnliche Funktionen nutzen möchte. Für den normalen Gebrauch ist sie also verzichtbar. Ein weiterer Punkt, der für viele im deutschsprachigen Raum relevant ist: Die Tastatur gibt es nur im QWERTY-Layout. Das ist definitiv ein Nachteil, wenn man das deutsche QWERTZ-Layout gewohnt ist. Für mich war die Tastatur aber so gut, dass ich mir das QWERTY-Layout einfach angewöhnt habe. Nach kurzer Zeit wusste ich, wie man ä, ö, ü mit ¨ + a, o, u tippt, und mittlerweile finde ich das internationale Layout sogar besser. Wer sich damit nicht anfreunden kann, sollte jedoch lieber die Finger davon lassen. Fazit: Die EPOMAKER X Aula F99 PRO überzeugt mit einem herausragenden Tippgefühl, einem angenehmen Sound und einem Akku, der gefühlt nie leer wird. Das hohe Gewicht und die mittelmäßige Software könnten stören, sind aber für mich keine Dealbreaker. Como pega diré que el cable no le hace justicia, es un cable normal ni trenzado ni nada, y encima blanco me esperaba un cable más chulo con lo que cuidan las estética del teclado. Principalmente me decidí por este teclado porque buscaba uno que tuviera el numpad (lo uso bastante) y que fuera de switches lineales (no me gusta el sonido de los azules o clicky). Me encantó el sonido de este teclado porque es cremoso y un poco grave. El teclado es algo pesado, pero se siente bien. También tiene 3 niveles de ajuste de inclinación, pero lo que me pareció raro es que no tenga un botón de encendido o apagado. En la caja venía encendido. Con el software del teclado pude configurar las teclas para hacer otra función, por ejemplo PGdn la uso como el suprimir, los botones de arriba azules los uso para multimedia y el home para capturas de pantalla. Lo único que no pude configurar fueron las teclas F1, F2, F3... etc., no sé por qué pero no me dejaba el software. En cuanto al RGB, no me parece un punto muy importante debido a que ya dejé atrás la época de configurar cada led del teclado jaja pero me parece que tiene suficientes y variados colores y efectos, sin duda me ayuda a ver las teclas de noche, lo malo es que las keycaps no son translúcidas, por lo que sigue costando un poco verlas en ambientes con poca luz. Me gusta el detalle de la perilla, se puede subir y bajar el volúmen o tambien el brillo del teclado. En cuanto a los modos de conexión, funcionan perfecto. The only issues I've had with this is opening it, which is hard to do, and feels almost illegal because there's no screws, and the awful software and lighting choices. Ich bin schon seit einigen Jahren ein Fan von mechanischen Tastaturen. Gerade als Gamer ist die Präzision der Schaltertechnik großartig und kein Vergleich mit dem schwammigen Gefühl einer Rubberdome-Tastatur. Bei der EPOMAKER X Aula F99 PRO handelt es sich dabei um ein besonders vielseitiges Exemplar, da es per Kabel oder Kabellos per BT oder 2,4 GHz angeschlossen werden kann. Durch den großen 8.000 mAh-Akku ist eine lange Betriebsdauer selbst bei Nutzung der Beleuchtung garantiert. Wer lieber Schalter mit anderen Charakteristiken als die mitgelieferten nutzen möchte, bekommt diese für faire 20 Euro pro komplettem Satz. Diese sollen sogar im laufenden Betrieb austauschbar sein. Ebenfalls legt der Hersteller viel Wert auf schalldämmende Maßnahmen. Zum Glück, denn mechanische Tastaturen können ziemlich laut sein. Bei dieser ist die Dämmung so gut, dass man sie selbst im Großraumbüro problemlos verwenden könnte. Zwei kleine Wermutstropfen für mich musste ich feststellen: Zum einem ist die Tastatur nur im US-QWERTY-Layout verfügbar. Das ist bedauerlich, da ich ein deutsches Layout bevorzugt hätte aber man kann es nicht der Tastatur anlasten. Dann wäre es schön, wenn ein 2,4 GHz-Dongle beiliegen würde, da dieser Modus eine geringere Latenz als Bluetooth hat, was gerade für die Gaming-Zielgruppe wichtig ist. Ich konnte leider auch bisher keine Angaben finden, welche Dongle kompatibel sind. Da mich die Qualität der Tastatur überzeugt, werte ich sie deswegen aber nicht ab, zumal immer die Alternative per Kabel bleibt. Cependant la touche entrée vers le clavier mécanique fonctionne mal une fois sur 3 le curseur passe à la ligne suivante et étant comptable j’utilise principalement le pavé numérique et également cette touche entrée. J’ai changé un switch qui était fourni mais tjs le même souci. Je ne sais pas trop comment faire pour résoudre le problème car en dehors de ça le clavier est top. Read more

This is my first mechanical keyboard, it is so much better than the membrane keyboards I've been using and won't be going back. The keys sound and feel amazing, it makes you want to write a novel. It is great for gaming, they actuate about 1/4 of way down, meaning all your presses are nice and soft and don't strain your fingers like a membrane keyboard. The RGB is really nice and bright. It comes with some really cool presets and there's some customization. The software works but it is slow to apply settings. It will also sometimes error and won't apply the settings, or sometimes error and will still apply the settings. Improvement definitely needs to be made there. The knob can act as RGB control or volume control. It works but wish it felt as good as the rest of the keyboard. Overall it's a great keyboard if you're looking to make the switch from membrane on a budget. Read more

First keyboard. Recommended by a friend. Loving it. I don’t use the right control or end key, so those two missing doesn’t bother me but may others. I do use the number pad a lot for work, so that’s why I went with this model. It’s got weight, but that also means it doesn’t slide around as much. I have a pc and Mac, so switching between to two is very simple. My daughter loves the rainbow colors and presses the knob a lot, but very easy to switch back to my settings. The only issue I had bit resolved quickly was the space bar was not connected all the way when unboxed. After a click down it snapped in and was good to go. Read more

I got the Black Gradient side-printed keycaps version of this keyboard, which comes with Leobog Nimbus V3 linear ultra-light switches. The specifications for these switches can be readily found on the manufacturer’s (Leobog) website. I opted for this variant of the keyboard as opposed to the regular white/blue and black/green models, as those both come with Leobog StarArrow (otherwise called Star, Star Vector, or Seiya) linear switches. The specifications for this particular switch are hard to find online, but if you pick the Black/Green variant on Amazon and scroll down to the description pictures/additional information, the main specifications of the StarArrow switch are available there along with those of the Nimbus V3. Not sure why this detail only appears for the Black/Green variant and not the others. I believe the Blue Gradient side-printed keycaps variant also comes with the Nimbus V3 switches, but I have not been able to find this variant on Amazon UAE. After listening to some sound test comparisons between both variants, I found that I preferred the sound of the Nimbus V3s more. The StarArrow switches require more force to actuate and bottom out than the Nimbus V3s and may be preferable for those who prefer "average" weighted switches as opposed to ultra-light switches like the Nimbus V3. They also both sound a bit different, and I would highly recommend listening to some sound tests and comparisons before choosing between the colors and variants. I received the keyboard in a day, well-packaged and sealed. It came with the keyboard wrapped neatly and with a plastic dust cover on top, user manuals, a warranty leaflet, a keycap/switch puller, a USB-C to A cable, and 4 spare Nimbus V3 switches. Unfortunately, I noticed that one of the plastic pins on one of the spare switches had broken off at some point and was loose in the small plastic bag these spares come in. However, it is not strictly necessary for attachment to or stability on the keyboard, so it's not a big deal. The keyboard has tri-mode connectivity (2.4 GHz with a dongle, wired USB-C, and Bluetooth 5.0), and I am currently using it across my phone, TV, and laptop via Bluetooth. It works perfectly, and it's very easy to switch between devices. Up to 3 devices can be stored at a time in Bluetooth mode. The dongle has a small recessed hole to sit in beside the mode switch, and it is magnetic, so it snaps into place and is unlikely to get lost. The keyboard feels nice and hefty. The RGB gets quite bright too and looks very impressive, at least in the side-printed keycaps variant, as it shines through the legends. The knob feels satisfying and softly clicks as you turn it. However, it doesn't feel as premium as the rest of the keyboard in terms of materials. This is a very minor detail, and at this price, it's more than most other keyboards offer. This knob can either control the volume or the RGB brightness (but is not programmable past these two preset functions), and it clicks down to adjust some settings of the keyboard. One minor gripe is the brightness seems to default back to a medium setting randomly upon switching modes or changing the RGB preset you are on, so make sure to dial up the brightness to the highest setting using the knob after you are on your preferred preset. Refer to the included manual for all the details regarding these functions, along with the keyboard shortcuts and combinations that help to control everything from RGB to Fn key layers (including access to the few missing navigation keys, as this is a 96% layout keyboard). The keyboard feels amazing to type on. Not only are the switches buttery smooth—some of the smoothest I have ever tested—but they also have a very satisfying bottom-out, which is necessary for ultra-light switches to feel good. It is not too loud, and I would best describe the sound as creamy as opposed to thocky, with practically no high-pitched clicking, which I personally find quite irritating. At this price point, there are very few other fully assembled keyboards that sound and feel this good. Definitely refer to sound tests for these switches, as I found that the sound is similar to those videos after having used it, albeit a bit quieter. The only real con I would like to point out is the software (Windows only). It gets detected as malware by Windows Security, but I can confirm that both versions of the driver on Aula's and Epomaker's websites are exactly the same and are virus-free according to VirusTotal and Malwarebytes, which I use regularly. The software can be quite buggy and sometimes error out if any changes are pushed via the 2.4 GHz dongle mode, so I would recommend connecting it to your computer via USB and setting the mode switch to USB-C, which makes the software work without any errors. The software is laid out in a cluttered way, but it can do most things you'd require from this kind of software if you are willing to put in the time to understand the UI. I was a little disappointed that I was not able to set any 2-color gradients across any of the RGB modes in the software, and you can only choose between a single color or an RGB rainbow. Other than that, there are plenty of presets for RGB motion and effects, so there are definitely no problems in terms of variety there. Overall, I would rate this keyboard very highly, with only minor nitpicks. At its core, it does everything really well and only really has clutter and confusing UI issues in the Aula software, which most people won't use anyway and is definitely workable if you're willing to put in some time to understand the interface. The keyboard goes for AED 333 as of when I got it (all variants are the same price), but I got the keyboard for about AED 180 after applying a coupon and discounts. It really is impossible to beat at this low of a price and has a full recommendation from me, and even at its original price, it is a good deal. You won't be dissatisfied with your purchase, although at that original price, there are other good options that are slightly cheaper, such as the Royal Kludge RK100 and RK96, which are just as good and have tactile switch options (which the F99 Pro doesn't).
