These were just like wearing boy shorts as underwear. If that's what you want, then these are for you. However, if you want them to do what they're intended to do, DON'T waste your money. They don't fit snug or hold you in & I went 1 size down. I have other shapewear & ik what it's supposed to do. The other thing I absolutely hated about this was the legs rolled up--like a roller shade! n just stuck in my bikini line, like a roll of sausages. Who needs THAT, I ask you?!? It was SUPER annoying! & this was all while I was trying on clothes to review--I didn't even get out the house (thank goodness) this happened even though there was grippy tape around the bottom of each thigh. These are comfortable shapewear shorts. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and thin, with some mild compression to the belly. The color is as expected. I like the wide waistband and the silicone strips, but these shorts roll down a bit at the waist. The length is good and prevents chafing. The silicone strips in the thighs help to keep them in place, but they roll up sometimes. I'm 5'6", 35" waist, 45" hips, and usually wear XL or 2XL for bottoms. I ordered the XL since I was going for a tighter fit, and the shorts fit me ok, but if they were a size bigger, they might stay in place better in the waist and thighs. Overall, the quality and fit of this product are good, and I'm considering ordering a second one. However, I'll try the 2XL instead of the XL next time.
