An upfront disclaimer, I haven't worn these in winter temps or snow yet, it's too early in the season, I have just worn them around in fall temps and tested them to the best of my abilities. They fit as expected, I typically wear a medium in most gloves, I measured and followed the size chart to verify and ordered size medium per the chart, and they are a good fit; I probably could have gone with a small for the width, but then the finger length would have been too small. The wrist cuff seals out cold air but is not too tight, comfortably snug. This type of glove always feels a little bulky to me, but these are more like a puffer jacket, a little bulky but lightweight and easy to move in, not as stiff as some. Just don't try to pick up a coin or anything. The touch area on the finger and thumb areas does not work well, I was not expecting it to but thought maybe for a quick photo or something without removing the glove it would be OK, but it's hit and miss, mostly miss. They seem to be water resistant as advertised, as tested by running them under the faucet slowly a number of times; eventually they did feel somewhat damp on the surface but my hand did not feel any dampness inside, even after squeezing the glove to try to push water through to the inside - in my opinion that is consistent with being water resistant as opposed to water proof. As for insulation and warmth, I held a Titan ice wall ice pack for about 30 minutes and could feel the cold if I pressed my fingers firmly into it but otherwise my hand did not get cold; it eventually absorbed some condensation moisture on the palm surface from holding the ice pack but the moisture never made it through to my skin and the glove maintained it's insulating properties, my hand didn't get cold. So these are $20 gloves, not priced like North Face etc. but they seem good for the price. For occasional use without investing more I think they fit the bill. I'll be packing them for a winter trip to Germany so I hope I'm right. I will take a pair of liner gloves as well, just in case I need an extra layer of warmth, but based on my initial home tests I'm optimistic that these will be fine. Read more
