I got this as a spare pen for my Surface Pro 11 and I've been using it every day since I got it. In the box, you get the pen, 3 spare tips and a short USB charging cord. The included cable is USB-A to USB-C which is an odd choice since most Surface devices don't have USB-A ports. If you're used to a regular Surface Pen, it'll take some time for you to get used to this. The pen is longer but thinner compared to the Surface Slim Pen, in fact it's similar to the Apple Pencil. There are two buttons on the pen. One of them is used for right clicking and the other one acts as the eraser. I would normally like to have the eraser on top of the pen since that's more natural, but this pen instead has a touchscreen pointer there. For what it's worth, the pointer is quite sensitive so you can use it to type a couple of words here and there without dropping the pen, but I would have still preferred the eraser there. The material quality is really good, and it magnetically sticks to the bottom of your tablet (where the Surface Keyboard would go) You charge the pen using the USB-C port on the side. It takes around an hour for it to fully charge, and once it's fully charged, it lasts quite a while. There is a small LED right by the buttons that will start blinking red once it's low on battery. Writing with this pen takes a couple of minutes to get used to, but once you do, it's quite nice. It tracks pressure and writing angle just like other pens, and the sensitivity is not bad at all. I take notes with this pen and my tablet at work all day and I haven't had any issues so far. The only downside I noticed so far is that the pen shuts itself down if you don't use it for a couple of minutes. The user manual says 10 minutes but I feel like it shuts off in around 2 minutes. To turn it on, you need to press one of the buttons on the side which is fine, but the pen takes a couple of seconds to wake up. And if you urgently need to take notes in that instant, you'll need to wait. I feel like they should have allowed users to disable this auto-sleep option. It could have been so that if we press and hold a button for 10 seconds, it shuts off. Otherwise it stays on. Overall, at this price point, it's a great pen.
