I like the gradient on the keycaps but I don't particularly enjoy the letters being on the sidewall of the keycaps rather than the top, Even though I can type perfectly fine with my eyes closed, the aesthetic over function choice is kind of niche, most people who use computers struggle while using normal keykaps. That being said, the keyboard is all-plastic, it doesn't have a ton of weight to it but It's not flimsy, it has a fairly sturdy build quality. The lighting on the keyboard looks good as well, all the lighting effects are pretty commonly used, additionally I've always preferred the recessed lighting because it makes the LED's look brighter, Feels pretty similar to my old mecha-membrane keyboard from the green name brand. I don't plan on using it wirelessly, but I appreciate the option being there if I ever need to. The strawberry switches are ok, I prefer them over both Linear Red & Gatreon Yellow switches I've used, but I have a strong preference for tactile keys. The only downside to the strawberry keys that I can notice is that I tend to accidentally double press or fat finger the space bar while resting my thumb on it, they don't take much effort to press down which is a double edged sword in my opinion, If they offered Blue or Brown switches I'd be much happier. Overall, I still prefer 100% keyboards, but 80% is a good middle ground between minimalist aesthetic & functionality, I've got plenty of desk space & this keyboard looks much better than the 65% keyboard I used to use for my Stream PC. nice keyboard lightweight but not junky. The polling rate appears to be 500hz which is strange usually they default to the 1000hz for gaming but either way this keyboard is nice the gradient keys threw me off but then i quickly got used to them. The sound is solid but i have others that sound better out of the box. For the money this is a solid keyboard. the keycaps are nice quality and the case is alright. It will perform well for what it is however i would get it of on sale. The rgb strip is constant on and cant be turned which is nuts to me. Read more

A very good budget/starter mechanical keyboard, although the customization options seem to be limited to swapping out switches and keycaps. Changing out foams or stabs looks like it requires a bit more work to get it open as I could not find any visible screws to easily disassemble it. It comes with "Strawberry" switches, not sure who manufactures the switches. They are lubed linear switches much akin to red switches. Out of the box with the included keycaps they are smooth but produce a "clacky" sound. I prefer a more creamy/marbly sound; I had some North Pole yellows and Jade clickies lying around from another build and swapped them out for those, much better sound and switch actuation after the change in my opinion. The software seems to be Windows only (I couldn't find a Mac version off their website), which needs to be downloaded off the Attack Shark product page. The software itself is ok, you can adjust the RBG lighting and create macros with multiple different user profiles. The UI isn't the prettiest. You can totally use this keyboard without the software, you'll just lose out on programming macros which for me isn't an issue since this keyboard doesn't appear to support layers. All of the controls for the lighting can be controlled via keyboard shortcuts, there are a lot of them. Best not to throw out the instruction leaflet right away. It can be connected wired or wirelessly. For the wireless, you can use the included dongle (which stores into the keyboard, a feature I really like) or via Bluetooth. I am not a PC gamer so I can't really comment on the polling rate, for normal use it's fine. Same goes for the battery life, I mostly use it wired with the occasional wireless when needing to use it with a tablet but so far it holds its charge well. This is a quality materials durably designed mechanical keyboard that feels ideal for the deep typist. The gasket action feels good for me, and something that gives the joy of hitting it with force. The build quality is solid, and the features are ample, from bluetooth, wifi, the lighting and the battery life. The color combo is attractive and the software customization is easy to use. This is honestly a pretty solid keyboard. While the lettering on the keycaps is a tad odd (for me at least) I didn't really have any issues typing. I actually really like the way the strawberry switches feel, and am easily able to get over 100 wpm with this thing. Bit slower than my usual, but still respectable all the same. I'd say it feels somewhat similar to an MX Silver, but it's not quite the same. It's pre-lubed as well, which is nice. It's not overly loud, but still manages to have a decent enough "click", which once again reminds me a bit of the MX Silvers. Some people may find it to be a bit mushier than they're used to, but I find that it's a solid middle ground. As far as portability goes, it's just the right size to be portable, while still large enough to be functional. The battery life is also solid, and the keyboard construction is good. Feels sturdy, though there is a tiny bit of flex. For $65 or so, it's a solid buy. Read more
