First the good. This looks and feels like a quality shirt. It is very soft on the skin. The fit was about right. It is breathable and would be very cool in the summer (it's fall right now). BUT, my wife's repeated statement is "it's so ugly" and forbids me wearing it around her. (Not subject to review, I was shipped the wrong color.) Some of this is on me, but I'm guessing I'm not alone. I saw Polo Golf/Tennis shirt and didn't pay a lot of attention to the fabric pattern. The shirt design is generic enough they can get away with calling it by another brand. I thought the pattern was less visible, but it is QUITE VISIBLE and nearly amounts to piping, at least on the white shirt. My wife thought it was women's top when I first opened it up. AND, I'm 68 and NOT thin at all. Perhaps a much younger, muscular guy would like this, but it isn't for me and that's the review I write. Take a look at the pics and the texture/pattern. This shirt surprised me. It’s soft, lightweight, and fits true to size. The textured fabric gives it a sharp look, especially in darker colors, but it might not be for everyone. It works well for casual or semi-dressy occasions and pairs great with jeans or a blazer. My only gripe is the sleeves feel a bit tight. This Sthxyfaith shirt has a very nice texture and appearance to it, but when I got it and first tried it on about 5 months ago I thought it felt a little flimsy and that it would probably not hold up well. It’s still in one piece after 5 months, so it’s holding up well. I got the beige color and the color and texture go well with casual and athletic gear. I ordered and obtained the large size and it fits great and is comfortable (for reference, I am about 6 feet tall and about 190 pounds). It has a little stretch to it, but not much. For the price it is being sold for (currently about $10 dollars) it's a fairly decent value. Due to it feeling flimsy, I deducted one star in rating this and have rated it as 4 stars. Whenever I order a garment from a manufacturer with whom I’m not familiar, my very first concern is whether or not I can trust the size charts. At 6’3” and 205 pounds, I typically take an XL in shirts and my experiences with ordering from unknown manufacturers have been about 50/50 as far as accuracy is concerned. Unfortunately, most of my sizing snafus have come with ordering shirts from China and that’s the origin of this shirt. As often as not, an XL shirt from overseas can wind up fitting as much as a full size too small. With all that said, my concerns with this V-neck button down shirt from Sthxyfaith were completely unfounded. The shirt fits nicely, not even a little bit snug and I think there’s even a little room for accidental shrinking in the worst case washing machine scenario. Now the shirt itself has a bit of an unusual swirly pinstripe piping design to it. It’s quite unique and may or may not be to everyone’s taste. However, in the black style it’s much more subtle and, in my opinion at least, is more on the attractive side than it would be on other, brighter, colors. As I’ve mentioned, it fits well, has enough space in the shoulders and armpits for movement, and the sleeves come down to perfect cuff length. The collar is comfortable and the V-neck has a two-button scoop. At 95% polyester and 5% cotton, these shirts should only be washed in cold water and dried at the lowest temperatures to prevent shrinking. With proper care these shirts should last many seasons to come. Priced on par with other stylish sportswear shirts, this is made even more affordable with the 30% optional Amazon coupon offered at the time of this review. Also offered at this time is another qualified discount from the manufacturer (3% off any 2, 5% off any 3, 8% off any 5). It’s early November as I write this review and I’m kind of disappointed that the cold weather is setting in and I’ll probably have to wait a few more months until short-sleeve shirt weather returns. But I’ll be looking forward to wearing this one often when Spring returns and I’ll keep hoping that I don’t pack on too much winter weight so that it still fits come March and April. Read more
