I absolutely LOVE these glasses. The style, the usability, the video, photo, and audio, clarity everything is just incredible! The battery life could get me through an entire day unless I was shooting a lot of video/photo, then I would get around 4hrs. Which isn’t bad especially with the fast charging speed the charging case offers. I really enjoyed being able to capture my kids having fun without fumbling around in my pocket for my phone. Also my kids wouldn’t freeze up and stop what they were doing because they saw me bring my phone out. They barely noticed me taking video with the glasses. They saw the flashing light on the glasses but didn’t think twice about it. I also loved the fact that I still had both hands available to interact with my kids while capturing incredible POV shots. I signed up for the “Early Access” program to gain access to the upcoming features. The live translations feature was a real game changer. Testing it out with some of my Spanish speaking colleagues was fun but it was really useful when I was recently at a Spanish market and I was able to better communicate. Using the glasses to scan QR code or having John Cena (one of the celebrity voices available for Meta AI” answer a question for me while on the go without bringing out my phone was great. The speakers on the glasses are really good as well. I enjoyed being able to take a call or listen to a podcast while walking around without having my AirPods in my ear. Now don’t get me wrong the sound quality is not matched the the AirPods Pros especially when the noise cancellation is on. But for the convenience and comfort of not having something in your ear and still being able to hear it’s a win for me. I ended up going with the large size, which fit me well. BUT my one issue is that the arms are just a tad but snug by the top of the ear. I was able to find some cushions on Amazon which completely rectified the issue. For around $400 after tax I feel that these glasses are a great value for the money. Also depending on the type of Vision insurance you have they may be covered, at least some of the cost. God I love these things!! Do I need them? No. Are they super fun to wear around to secretly listen to audiobooks while I’m at work. Yes! I love being able to listen to and answer text messages without having to grab my phone or talk into my watch. The transition lenses are the best I’ve had. They change back and forth faster than the older transitions. They fit great. And I think they look pretty cute on me. The photo and video quality were actually pretty good. I actually bought these because of an incident at night in the parking lot where I work. So I had a quick easy way to record without obviously pulling out my phone. So if you have money to toss at fun but unnecessary tech buy these. Read more

Received my new highly anticipated RayBan Meta glasses only to find that the RayBan sealed box had been opened and someone had previously had been handling them! The case could not be charged nor pair to my iPhone. So I returned them to Amazon the next day. Very disappointed…..really no excuse for send me someone else’s returned/defective order…..ugh! I am legally blind and purchased these glasses as a tool to help me. So far I love them. I have set them to take pictures and videos of what is in front of me. I can also ask Meta to tell me what is in front of me. If I am out Meta will read my texts and mail, and will make calls when instructed. The sound quality is excellent as are the pictures. I ordered transition lenses to ensure maximum use and these menses are great. I have been using my smart glasses for two weeks now, and can highly recommend them! Read more

AI: It's a good idea, but the meta AI isn't very smart compared to competitors like ChatGPT. If you are developer, meta has been ridiculously secretive so other companies can't design software to make use of these glasses. You have to find workarounds that use fb messenger or one of Meta's platforms/apps as a means to maximize functionality. Lenses: The transitions lenses on my pair didn't change when I was driving in the car and were REALLY slow to change in the sunlight outside. I bought another pair in a different style and size offline, and the lenses worked perfectly. I don't know if I just got a bad pair or if it's something about how they make the wayfarers. The Transitions on my Skylers are quite good. Frames: The matte black looks much better in photos than in person. When I actually had them in my hand, I felt that the matte black looked a bit cheap. Size: The L size was REALLY big on my face. They could work as sunglasses, but as clear glasses for inside were almost comical. Size M/Regluar are best for most people unless you KNOW you have a big head compared to most people. Camera: Pretty good quality for what it is. No complaints. Sound Quality: Exceeds expectations both in terms of the audio output and input as a microphone. Battery Life: Disappointing. If you are lucky you might get 3-4 hours, but if you go outside when it's cold and shoot a video, this drops to about 20 minutes. They do seem to charge fast however, so that's a bonus. Software: I don't know why Meta limits us to only being able to have 2 pair of glasses. Don't they want to sell more styles to repeat customers? This seems needlessly restrictive. Furthermore sometimes the glasses don't work well for apps like Youtube, audible, or really anything that you don't control directly through the glasses even if they are connected. When this happens, the only way I can get them to work properly again is restarting my phone. Fortunately this doesn't seem to happen very often. Other Annoyances: If you've read this far, you probablly know that when you are taking a photo or video there's a display that lights up on the front of the glasses to let everyone know you are recording. I'm not a fan of this since, at least in the USA where I live, there's nothing illegal about taking photos recording videos with a camera of any kind in public. Meta has decides that it wants to assume the role of law enforcement by forcing people to have an eyesore on their glasses to tell everyone that recording is happening, on the off chance that someone is trying to record video in a place where it is illegal to do so. Frankly I believe that extends far beyond the scope of their responsibility. It's also annoying that the glasses stop recording video after 3 minutes, with no means by which to extend the recording short of stopping the camera and starting it up again. It's not like the device doesn't have enough memory for multiple recordings, so why the limitation? It's another instance of the developers trying to impose their sense of ethics on the customer... which is odd given the company's new stance on content posted to their platform. Read more

I bought a brand new pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer at regular price but I received an open box of Ray Ban Skyler. The AI sunglasses inside were the right model but I clearly received a return… The case is not perfect either. The temple were not protected with the little wraps but the wraps were inside the case… Overall, I am happy with the product but not the way I received it.
