I've used the Beetles nail glue for quite some time and have always gotten 2-3 weeks of retention time, even though I work with my hands a lot. I purchased this because of online forums absolutely raving about the Apres brand and talking about how their products are top of the line. I applied this product per usual: soak off old set, push back cuticle, file off dead skin, buff nail and (Apres brand) tips, dehydrate and prime both nail and tips, per bottle instructions, apply a thin layer of the extend to the nail and cure for 30 seconds, and then apply extend to the tip, hold, and cure. There was no overlap on the cuticle as I have been doing gel x for over 2 years now. My pinky nail popped off on day 5. Both pointer fingers popped off on day 6, both index fingers started to lift on day 7. Unacceptable. I will say that the gel is a nice consistency that makes it easy to apply neatly. But that's the only positive thing I can say. With such a pathetic retention time I absolutely cannot recommend this product for anything. All that time and effort for nothing. Disappointed. I surprisingly like it. Despite the mix reviews it has, I was hesitate to purchase and use it but decided to. It has a thick consistency so it ease of use well when I am putting gel x on my nails to flash cure it. There was no mess or spill out. I also saw some reviews saying the glue is not durable but the functionality when I cure the gel with the gel x is really well. I’m surprise it still stays on and I work with my hands a lot for my job and I’m pretty harsh yet it still stayed on. For the value of the money, it is pretty expensive than the other nail glue I bought before but I definitely see the worth of it because it is easy to use and also the durability of it being on my nails. It was worth it to me and I’m glad I gave it a chance. For transparency, I work in the food industry. I use my hands a lot and wash dishes a lot yet it still stayed on without breaking or popping off. Read more

I've been doing my own gel-x nails for a little over a year now, and I originally started with the Beetles glue that's like $9 on Amazon. Horrible choice, it gave me contact dermatitis and the skin under my fingernails was almost completely gone. I had already bought all of the stuff to do nails, so I thought I'd try this glue. I have had 0 ISSUES since using it, and I've done about 4 sets with it so far. I highly recommend this product, and I tell everyone that does gel-x at home about it when I get the chance. Read more
