I love this product so much! This is my first time getting a Dyson. Prior to that, we had the Hitachi conventional vacuums. I was actually quite confused if I should even get the V8 or opt for a more recent model. I watched all sorts of YouTube videos to be sure that I get the right model that suits my needs. And let me tell you, this V8 goes ABOVE my expectations. If you just want to use it for cleaning your home, this model Is more than enough. It has a lot of different heads so cater to your needs. I absolutely love this. I haven’t regretted not buying a higher model like v15 or something else. This is an amazing product and such a good upgrade to your conventional vacuums. If you already own a Dyson, then you could think of upgrading the models based on your needs. If you own a conventional vacuum, and are looking for something new, get this model. This is my second Dyson in a different home; my first is a V6 that still works like new. I have tried all other vacuums; if you have dogs, nothing compares to Dyson's performance. I also have robots, but robots take a while to clean and need babysitting. With the Dyson, it is quick and easy. Do not waste your money; go for what works. As mentioned before, this is my second one, but the V6 I previously purchased is 10 years old, and I have replaced the battery once. This particular version has an exceptional attachment for hair removal that will remove even the most stubborn hair from surfaces. I carry my dog in the back of my car, and the hair sticks to the carpeted walls. I used this attachment to clean the wall as if I were cleaning a bare floor. The vacuum will not disappoint you. I can also use regular deodorant tablets on the filter to prevent foul odors. Read more

Although this is the least version of dyson vacuum, i still consider it as my best buy for vacuums. It has been a really big help for me. It cleans thoroughly compared to my old vacuum. I like it that it’s not complicated when you clean it specially the filter, it doesn’t tangle hair around the brush. Unlike my previous vacuum it’s really difficult to clean and the filter gets too dusty and collects alot of hair in the brush. Just buy it and see it for yourself. Read more

After decades of throwing away other vacuums that would only last a few months before they started losing suction and blowing out smelly air (despite replacing filters and cleaning regularly), I decided to purchase a Dyson. I do not regret my decision one bit! The V8 is so lightweight and easy to maneuver. While the dust collection cup is small, it’s easy to empty and works fine in my small home. So versatile and goes from carpet to hardwood to tile seamlessly with no adjustments necessary. Super durable. I have long hair, a toddler, and a 75 lb dog and a cat and this vacuum handles it all with ease. It picks up dust and dirt, hair, food crumbs, cat litter, leaves… the list goes on. I love the charging rack that holds all the accessories and vacuum. Looks nice in the laundry room. Easy to change out accessories and I’ve used it to vacuum furniture and remove cobwebs from the ceiling and crumbs from my daughter’s car seat and high chair. It’s never clogged or lost suction. The max power option is nice to get dirt from deep in the carpet. Charge lasts a long time. I love that parts can be replaced if they ever stop working, rather than replacing the whole vacuum. I have went through a few vacuums trying to find the perfect one for hardwood floors because every other vacuum i have bought always either shoots the crumbs back out onto my feet or the crumbs just completely falls right back out as soon as i think I've vacuumed it all up. So i decided to splurge on a vacuum so that maybe i would actually find a good vacuum for once, and here it is. I'm in love. You can actually feel it suction to the floor when you switch from low to high. Now i will say the battery doesn't last too long but thats the only downside for me. But it's still worth it! It took them ages to respond to my emails, and when they finally sent a replacement part, they only replaced part of the head—without actually fixing the issue. I bought this Dyson V8 as an addition to my upright Hoover that I've had for years. I've always wanted to try one but they're so expensive. This was a great prime deal. I wanted a handheld unit for some of the more difficult areas to get into like the cat tower and nooks and crannies. I tried it on the cat tower and was super impressed. The suction was really great and the accessories included were great. They are so easy to swap in and out. I let it charge overnight and then went to use it on the rest of the house. I have some shag carpet, a rug, standard carpet and tiles. It work great on all of them. I found the max mode later and used it on my area rug to deep clean it. I was impressed. Then I realized I can use it with my car! I can't wait to clean my car. I have a vacuum for my car but it's terrible and I know this will be better. Cleaning the vacuum itself is also very easy. One of my biggest issues with my upright is it's such a pain to open the canister to empty it. This one is so easy. Also, my upright is pretty loud and this one is so much quieter. I was very happily surprised. It's been so great so far and it's going to replace two vacuum cleaners. I'm not using my upright anymore. I bought four more accessories as well to make it even more flexible. Charging it is very easy and the wall charging mount is very useful. I haven't mounted it yet but I will later. I'm extremely pleased, especially with the prime deal that I got and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Read more

I really love my Dyson. But two glaring mistakes stick out with this one. First, the battery dies FAST! We thought it was too fast and even had Dyson send us a replacement- nope. Just dies fast is all. You'll get about 30 minutes on reg power and about 15 on high. Then, it takes like 3 hours to charge. Second? The design of the wall hanger is weird. Every time we hang up to charge we have to really give it a good push and it's gotten to the point that tie cord is now permanently bent. Hopefully we dont meed to replace in a year. Other than that, the suction is SUPERIOR to anything else on the market, which is I guess what we pay for. So, I'm still happy I bought it, but a longer battery life and less charging time would definitely be helpful. Read more

If not, it is not worth the investment. It stops working after a short period. You can’t use while charging.
