KVM switches seem to be a bit hit or miss. This had good reviews although not many at the time of purchase so I thought I'd try it. It's smaller than I expected and plastic - but it is on the cheaper end of these switches - and I confess to some surprise when it actually worked :-) I need to connect a desktop PC and a Mac Mini. My previous KVM stopped switching the Mac's K and M although the video worked. This one works although I have had to switch it to the PC and back to get some connections working at times so, alas, only 4/5. But generally happy with it, especially for the price. Read more

Almost nothing worked. The only thing that worked was hdmi from the pc. Everything else - data from pc, hdmi from macbook, data from macbook, all of it failed. I tried the included cables, my own cables, swapping to different ports. Read more

Great product. Does the job of switching between my 2 PCs. Has a long lead so don’t need to reach over to the switch. Works fine with my wireless mouse and keyboard. There is a little delay between switching so not instantaneous. Light indicates which slot is working but could do with makings 1& 2 for clarity. Read more

I require a KVM switch to go between my home PC and work laptop, allowing me to share 1 monitor, keyboard and mouse. I have a current KVM switch but this is starting to cause problems with not switching properly, so a timely upgrade to this KVM was needed. The instructions are good, it's quick and easy to set up. It comes with 2 USB cables and 2 HDMI cables (both are required for each machine you connect to - they are also very good quality cables). I particularly like that you can swap between machine with a button on top of the KVM switch, plus you also have a desktop control button on a longer cable - I have stuck mine under my desk so it's easy to get to. A couple of good points to note, the USB ports are USB 3.0 standard (far quicker than USB 2.0), and the KVM supports 4K video @ 60Hz. Assuming you plug in a keyboard and mouse (or as in my case use a wireless keyboard and mouse), you will still have a spare USB-A and USB-C port, perfect for sharing extra USB devices. Of course if you need more you can always plug in a USB hub to the KVM and share more devices. This is a "must have" device for people wanting to share a screen and devices. Read more

This KVM switch is a great quality item as I’ve come to expect from UGREEN which even includes all the cables you need to get setup. I imagine most people like me will be using this to switch between personal and work PCs and it is ideal for that scenario. The only slight downside is that this is limited to USB 3.0 which is a bit out of date at this point. The 5Gbps transfer rate is not too bad, but be aware it has to be shared across all connected USB devices. The little external button is a nice touch as it means the device and all the messing cabling can be secreted under the desk for a much tidier setup. Priced at £36 (£45 with 20% voucher) at time if review this is well priced considering the quality. Read more

Unlike my previous switch, there are HDMI cables supplied with this switch kit so you won’t need to source cables before setting up. Setting up the switch is straightforward and you don’t need any further software, it is simply plug and play. The switch allows you to use one monitor with two computers, which is really handy when space is limited on your desk and you have an old PC that you still need to access. The switch itself looks attractive in its grey metallic case. The switch does need to be plugged into the mains so ensure you have an extra socket handy.
