Plan on using YouTube to set up, realitivly no instructions. Overall sound is decent, I was expecting more. Now for why I only give it three stars... The cymbals are junk. At first I thought is was me but after hours of scouring the internet, I'm not the only one having volume and sensitivity issues. There's simply not enough volume from two of the three (the ride and hi-hat) to blend properly with the rest of the kit. I had to turn the volume down on everything to 10 (out of 32) and max out the hi-hat and the ride to get them to be somewhat close. This is incredibly frustrating. The choke feature only works if you grab the cymbal in the "sweet spot" which is almost impossible to repeat consistently during heavy/fast play. Something to seriously consider is saving your money on this kit, get something a little more professional....I've considered returning it but will hold off to see if there's some sort of fix available. So yeah, pretty bummed about my experience thus far. And for anyone considering the Nitro Max expansion pack, be advised, the clamps will NOT fit the Nitro Pro's rack, they are too small. The Nitro Pro Rack tube size is 1.5" so know that you'll have to purchase the appropriate clamp. I used Gibralter. Read more

Recommend spending the extra money on the Pro version. Much more stable and better overall. Got this for my son who is really enjoying it. This is a very high quality product. Everything went together perfectly with no installation glitches either mechanical or electrical. Fit perfectly in a very tight space and we hardly hear it when he's playing. Worth every penny.
