Update: I reached out to Oura and they promptly sent me a replacement. Excellent customer service on their end. I'm still getting the hang of using the ring as it hasn't fully learned my biological patterns yet, but so far it's been a very user friendly experience and extremely insightful. Will provide another update in a month when the ring fully synchronizes to me. I received the Oura ring in the mail today. I can definitely attest to the reviews that state their ring is used. Upon opening, I noticed scratch marks on the bottom portion of the ring where the indicator is located. Secondly, I had to complete a total factory reset to the ring before it would sync to me since the ring was already used by someone else. I'm not super thrilled with this, but I'm willing to give it a try. I believe there should be a discount involved and advertise the units as refurbished/resale rather than advertising as brand new.
