I've been trying to learn the art of tattoo in my spare time and this kit was really a good thing for me. It has really everything in it that you would need, besides a steady hand, to get yourself started to see if tattooing is for you. Overall this machine has felt really good in my hands so far, I'm not a little guy no means 6'3" so my paws are bigger than most and this fit my hands good. The battery holds a good charge and it also charges pretty fast too, so that's really nice. Like I stated before I'm still trying to learn so I really don't know about the overall quality of the ink or the needles, but for my purposes of working on practice skins it's really nice. The only thing that I feel is kinda off is the weight balance with the battery on top, after awhile you do notice it, I wonder if you could add some weight to the tip to help offset the weight balance. This set comes with everything you need once you’ve gotten past the beginner phase of learning how to tattoo. There is a limited supply of accessories, as once you get to the point where you’re ready for higher-end tools, you probably have a surplus of the consumables. Also, it comes with an external power supply AND has a rotary option for expanded usage time. I'm just in the beginning phases of learning how to tattoo, and I've tried many different kits now. This kit includes everything you need, including 20 cartridges of both liners and magnum shaders. The on/off, depth adjustments, and speed fine-tuning were fairly easy and self-explanatory. The gun is more involved than others I’ve had, with more adjustment features for different usage modes and has a very sensitive adjustable needle depth with clearly marked measurements and a wide depth range, which really helps when you're still trying to master how far to hold the gun to get the right skin depth (1-2 mm). It’s an ergonomic, thicker pen, which is much easier to grip and maneuver if you have larger hands, and minimizes cramping during longer sessions. The included practice skin also helps get a feel for the way the machine works as compared to others. I still don't feel confident working on actual skin, so I'm still just practicing with skins (included) and intermittently shading in some decades-old scars from an old accident to try it out on actual skin. The included ink is a deep, rich black and holds in the practice skin well. The included gloves provided a nice germ barrier after I'd sterilized all required skin areas. This machine was easy to grip and allows for steady handling and an even and consistent depth, and the needle didn't hurt any more than professional tattoos. The ink was deposited evenly over the scar tissue area and is healing evenly. The skin trauma was no worse than any of the professional tattoos I've ever gotten, and the healing went by without a hitch, though it was itchier than normal as expected due to the tattoo being done over a keloid scar. Overall, this is a very user-friendly kit for someone in the intermediate phases of learning tattooing and is an excellent value for the money. Low on consumables, but a great value when you take into consideration the value of the pen and dual power supplies alone. Read more
