First of all: any polling rate over 1k is a gimmick. The benefit is really only theoretical, and you have to have a crazy high refresh rate on your monitor (>240 Hz) to even have a realistic chance at perceiving the difference. A higher polling rate means that in theory you could react faster to something in a game by being able to send an input in as little as 0.125 ms vs 1 ms for a normal 1k mouse. The fastest recorded human reaction time is about 100 ms. A normal person with a good reaction time would clock in at about double that. Any benefit you'd receive from an 8k polling rate would be accidental and you'd never even know it was because of the polling rate. That said, this is an amazing mouse for $30, assuming it holds up over time. The good: Super lightweight, but still feels very solid. No plastic creaks, no flexing, nothing. It also doesn't have a skeletonized design (the case is solid with no openings) so it can't slowly collect dust and hairs inside it - I recently had to disassemble and clean out my Lamzu Atlantis because of that. $30 is a VERY good price for something like this. I paid $100 for my Lamzu Atlantis OG V2 4K, $43 for my Darmoshark M3s, and just $30 for the Redragon M996. Granted, I still prefer my Lamzu, but it's not THREE TIMES better than the M996. This is a great budget superlight mouse - would be perfect if it had a better USB cable. The bad: The USB cable it comes with is really bad. It's stiff, heavy, and has the stereotypical massive USB A plug that Redragon devices usually have. I replaced that with the super light and flexible cable that came with my Darmoshark M3s and it feels like it may as well be wireless now. There also still doesn't seem to be a unified Redragon configuration utility yet. It's absolutely ridiculous that you have to download a different program for every Redragon device you own. The slightly annoying: The skates (the low-friction pads on the bottom the mouse slides on) are dyed black. Virgin PTFE is white, and any additives dilute it and increase friction. It's very noticeable that this mouse has more friction with the mouse pad when I compare with my other mice. In everyday use, though, it's a minor problem that I don't often notice. I think only the black model suffers this issue; the pink and white seem to have white PTFE skates which should work better. I don't mind a company logo on the mouse. Superlights can sometimes be indistinguishable at a distance because they're all a very similar shape and have the same button layouts. But it's a bit too much that they printed "REDRAGON" down the left mouse button by the scroll wheel. It looks really bad. Read more

Gaming performance - I am still newbie on Battlefield 1/V. However, I improved to a newbie premium! It's pretty good to use because of its precision and speed. I own other 2 Redragon (M652 2.4G and M656 Gainer), so I noticed the improvements on this one. It is comfortable to use due to its size and design and extremely light! It's connectivity is good (USB). However, the only thing I must say that isn't perfect is the USB cord that is pretty heavy when moving on a game. I was previously using wireless connectivity, so it took time to adjust to this type of connection again. It's extra buttons are an additional thing.
