I am new to this hobby and I was looking for a durable metal detector to use on the beach's. I first ordered a different brand on Amazon, and when I received the other brand I was not impressed. It was cheap and plasticy, and did not extend far enough for me. I returned the detector and decided to try the Greenrex Rex8 metal detector . When I received the Rex8 and assembled it, I was immediately impressed. What a difference, and it was less expensive than the other brand I tried. Greenrex Rex8 metal detector is a high quality metal detector at a great price. Not made of cheap plastic material like some similar brands. Easy to use, display is simple with all the functionality and settings needed. No complicated controls. I love the grip and the backlight on the display.
