My hair goes down to my hips and is all one length. I tried using one of these, but it didn't work with my hair length. I tried two. It was better, but the rollers were still overloaded and the hair didn't curl well. I got a third one and secured them with a hair tie and it worked! All three times, I put my hair up when it was freshly washed, brushed, still damp then used a spray bottle to dampen the hair again after it was in the rollers. I did it several hours before going to sleep and kept them in overnight (more than 12 hours). They're comfortable to sleep in as long as you don't lay with your ear directly on one while side sleeping. Note: In the last photo, I had not combed through the curls. That's how they looked right out of the rollers. This was just an experiment. I wasn't leaving the house so I just left them as they were to see how long they would hold and how they would loosen up overtime. I'll definitely use these a few times weekly.
