This cutting tray is just as good as the more expensive ones from the big named stained glass supply stores! I love that it comes with a speedball for helping to move glass while cutting or for breaking score lines, and also has several little rubber stoppers to help keep your glass from slipping on the waffle grid. It very effectively collects little bits and shards of glass that just happened when you're cutting glass and prevents them from going all over your table top and potentially cutting you later on! It's easy to clean out, I simply take it to my outdoor garbage and turn it upside down and shake all the little bits out of it of course I'm careful to not fling it all over the place because no one wants a piece of glass in their foot! I recently ordered some new glass cutters that are designed to sit on a magnetic stand which is intended to be placed into a waffle grid, my little stands fit perfectly in the grid and it makes it so easy to have my cutter right there next to what I am doing, it also came with a little tray for cutting oil that also fits inside the grid and that also fits in this grid perfectly, in other words it is the same size as the more expensive waffle grids so accessories that you can buy will work in this grid. I'm happy to give this a five star because it does exactly what it says it will do, it's extremely functional and easy to get out of the way when I'm not cutting glass, and definitely keeps my work surface a lot cleaner and safer. I would say that it would be better if it came with more than one speed ball, even two because that would be easier For breaking score lines, but a set of speedballs is not expensive so it's not even worth worth complaining about it! I tried cutting on a craft cutting mat for a while but kept getting tiny splinters of glass in my hands so although I think this is expensive it has spared my hands from little nicks. Useful and big enough for small craft projects. I don't think I'll need to add to its size for my crafts. Read more

I used it for cutting glass to use in mosaic garden totems. It worked wonderfully to catch any shards that may fly into or away from my work area. (Please wear the appropriate eye protection.) I wish I could find it cheaper, but the value for the money is there. Read more
