This is very similar to an old Mercury Mercruiser kill switch lanyard. For some reason it is too wide to fit around the the kill switch on my 2002 Maxum with a 3.0L Mercury Mercuiser engine and old fashioned (not digital) throttle. Useless for me because it does not fit. Very compact when coiled. The max extension length is realistically 4 feet, Switch clip engages OK and does the job. The clip to attach the other end of the lanyard to the driver is an old-style cheap clip. I recommend adding an inexpensive carabiner to save you clothes from being destroyed by this cheap clip. I've learned the hard way you never want to go out on the water without a spare kill switch "key". Otherwise if it breaks you will find yourself being towed in! This one seems to be a good quality lanyard that will do the trick when (not if!) I need it someday! Read more
