I've upgraded from a 27' 170HZ 1440P IPS to this 480HZ monster. The color accuracy, contrast, and smoothness are almost night and day. That said, I do not think this monitor is worth $1,000 and I should've waited for a sale but who knows when that'll happen. If you don't mind paying the premium then this monitor might be for you. If I had to say something negative about the monitor it would be the brightness. Especially in dark areas in games where it's almost pitch-black, and hard to make out any details.
