It does what you'd expect. It can reach the advertised speed, but my experience says to expect about half that. It badly needs a way to keep the cap and body together, since the cap is small and easily lost or left behind. It would also be very helpful if it could be attached to a keyring or keychain. Other than that, it's great. Update: I bought a USB adapter to allow me to use this USB-C device on my desktop's USB-A receptacle. That adapter came with the perfect tether to keep this device's cap with the body. If you need to do something like run an OS, build code, or run programs off a flash drive this is a good one to get. It's quite small for it's level of performance, and it's performance is quite good. For example I copied an entire 120 gig steam library onto it from a hard drive, and it was bottlenecked on the hard drive at 110 MB/s the entire time. When it was finished the drive was warm but not hot. I've had other trashy flash drives get burning hot and not even manage 1 MB/s on a similar job. A lot of trash drives do ok if you write a single huge file, but grind to a halt on a mixed workload like a steam library, an os, or an application. This one maintained consistent high performance.
