It isn't very expensive, and to realize why, you only have to pick it up. It weighs hardly anything, because the band is completely made of hard plastic, as far as I can tell. The watch face, is much higher quality than the band itself, and it's extremely attractive. Despite looking good, this works well. It is also extremely inexpensive. Even though the band is large, it comes with a tool for removing some of the links. If you're looking for an inexpensive dress up watch this is it. It actually makes me wonder how they can sell it for so little. I can't speak to its longevity, but I wouldn't bet on it. But I am one of those people known to be hard on watches. I scratch them, and they have to be waterproof! I would consider this much more of an accessory to wear like a “once in a while” piece of jewelry, to enhance a specific outfit.
