UPDATE FOR SEPTEMBER 2021: This amazing unit lasted a solid 7 years (through multiple moves) before it appears that the compressor finally gave out. (The fan continues to work, but dehumidification no longer works). For the price, I feel the performance over 7 years was outstanding. I'm going to attempt to contact the manufacturer to see if it can be repaired, but I thought that other buyers might like to know how long the unit lasted for me. I'm very happy with this product overall and would still recommend it highly. (I have no affiliation with this company and am not being compensated in any way- just to be clear). ORIGINAL 2014 REVIEW: I needed a reliable, quiet, and reasonable capacity dehumidifier that was also presentable enough to leave on in a living room. This Stadler Form Albert product seemed to fit the bill, but the steep price tag and the split reviews were a big concern. The 240V reference was also confusing, but one of the reviewers cleared that up (thank you). I went ahead and decided to give it a shot, and worst case, I'd suffer through some remote support or in the end have to return it. I opened up the boxes, and kept them around thinking I may need them. The instructions indicated to keep the Albert unit upright for 24 hours before its first use so I did. Once I turned it on, and ever since (2 days now), it has been working exactly as advertised. PROS: it is decently quiet - at times the compressor may sound slightly louder, but then tends to quiet back down rather quickly. It has already extracted an entire canister of water from the air in my hallway/entry in 12 hrs. It looks great and required no repairs or retrofit out of the box. The controls and display are easy to understand/use. CONS: relatively steep price, the hygrostat (as mentioned in other reviews) may not be precise -- but I personally don't care -- as long as I can establish a relative setting of "MORE" or "LESS" humidity guidance for the Albert to follow, I'm happy! So long as you have the same luck with the unit that is delivered to you, I would say that you'd be happy with this product. Das Gerät arbeitet und macht seinen Job. Da ich keine anderen Geräte getestet habe, kann ich nicht sagen, ob vergleichsweise besser oder schlechter. Wir setzen "Albert" seit einem Monat im Keller ein, wo sich die warme Sommerluft regelmäßig niederschlägt. Über Nacht wird er ausgeschaltet, denn der Propeller ist hörbar. Bei geschlossener Tür könnte man im Nachbarraum bei Stufe 1 gut schlafen, bei 2 auch noch aber bei 3 merkt man ihn. Die Bedienung ist recht einfach, das Display zur Nacht dimmbar. Wen auch diese Resthelligkeit noch stört, kann problemlos eine Socke übers hinausstehende Display ziehen. Die 5%-schrittige Feuchtigkeitseinstellung ist praktisch und einfach, ob 55 oder 56% rel. Luftfeuchte wäre nicht spürbar und m.E. eher rein theoretischer Betrachtung. Alle alten Einstellungen sind nach 2 Wochen ohne Spannung abrufbar gewesen. Ein einfaches externes Hygrometer hat die am Albert eingestellten Werte bestätigt. Natürlich dauert es etwas, bis sich eine gewisse Gleichgewichtsfeuchte im Raum eingestellt hat, je nach feuchtigkeitsaufnehmenden Materialien. Wenn sich der Behälter am 2. Tag langsamer füllt, trocknen auch die Materialien aus. Auf 40m² haben wir ihn noch lange nicht an seine Leistungsgrenzen gebracht. Allerdings verwenden wir ihn ressourceneffizient, d.h., extreme Trockenheit, wie auch "ganz schnell ganz viel", brauche ich im Wohnbereich nicht. After previously owning an Ebac Dehumidifier that did an excellent job over more than 13 years, it developed a fault not helped by the fact I had failed to perform its routine maintenance during its lifespan. I did originally turn to Ebac for a replacement however its current model line-up attracting good reviews are all very similar to the 2600se I had before. After all these years of ownership, I wanted a dehumidifier that looked different. I also have an Olympian dehumidifier, but due to its noise level, tend to use it only as back up. The Stadlerform Albert certainly looks different, it is very stylish. I originally had a lot of problems over delivery and was let down on a few occasions when it was not delivered on the dates I was advised, it was very frustrating waiting in during these days for nothing. I therefore turned to Amazon for assistance and received a very pleasant and sympathetic response from Rejitha, Customer Services, who personally stepped in and ensured delivery within a couple of days, actually on a Sunday. I am very grateful to Rejitha who deserves a 5 star rating for her involvement. I have now owned the Albert for 4 months now and as mentioned, it does look stylish for a dehumidifier, and does feel and look a quality piece of kit. It offers a clear display however I did not realise that this display constantly flashes when within its humidity level parameter, though the display brightness can be lowered under 'Night mode'. I also find that according to my Hygrometer, its actual humidity reading are a bit higher, though, personally, these are only minor criticisms, if that. I have also learnt to be more careful in future since, although this is the first dehumidifier I have owned with castors, I still managed to scratch my flooring when moving it to another room. My other concern is that I could not find any replacement filters for it (I had to buy filters for my other dehumidifiers) and the only mention in the instruction manual is to vacuum the filter. I assume therefore the Albert is fitted with a permanent filter. The Albert also has a few other nice touches such as the switchable swing vent, I thing this helps when drying laundry, and the retractable handle on the water tank is very useful too. During the time I have owned the Albert, it has extracted a high amount of moisture when the humidity levels have been high and has maintained a comfortable level throughout. Although there is some noise, it is quieter than the dehumidifiers I have owned before. Even at the excellent price advertised on Amazon, it is still quite expensive compared to others on the market. However, I like the Albert, I like its styling, performance and features. Though time will tell if this is truly an excellent buy, however, so far I don't regret this purchase. If the filter is permanent, then the cost saving of replacement filters required by some other dehumidifiers should perhaps also be considered. I would recommend reading the reviews and Q&A's on Amazon's American website and downloading the instruction manual. I personally found these factors useful in my decision to order the Albert. So far, no regrets. It has been worth the hassle I experienced over the delivery and I have been suitably impressed in its performance, its features, its appearance and the feeling this is good quality. I spent weeks online searching for a dehumidifier that would do exactly what it’s supposed to do. If that sounds like you right now…you’re in luck; this one gets the job done. I live near the water and was easily measuring humidity levels in the 80’s. With this device I’m averaging between 45 and 55. From my knowledge, the range should be between 30 and 50 so this is a HUGE improvement and reasonable considering I live in the UAE. It’s easy to use, quiet and doesn’t take up much space at all. The wheels make repositioning it in your home about as easy as it could get. Also, it’s light enough to just pick it up and move it if need be. If left running all day, I usually empty once and then first thing in the morning. I have noticed that as we go deeper into the summer months that I am averaging an empty in the morning and another before bed. The only negative so far is the cost, but you pay for what you get. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t appreciate it being a bit less stressful on the bank account, but I do understand. Don’t waste time on the bargain dehumidifiers, you’ll also waste money in the process. I have a Pro Breeze 20L/Day Dehumidifier which works very well; however, it only keeps up with a small space (room of 30-35 sqm). Therefore, I purchased the Albert dehumidifier given the common area in my apartment is around 80 sqm and to my surprise it's worse than the 900 dirham pro breeze dehumidifier. The Albert dehumidifier doesn't reduce the humidity below 65%, only has a 4.5L tank (vs. 5.5L for the pro breeze) and the worse part of it is that the Albert spits out a huge amount of very hot air which is horrible for summer time when the AC already has a tough time cooling down the place. I prefer the 900 dirhams dehumidifier mentioned above to the Albert one - in terms of performance and price. Very disappointed with this purchase, would give it back had I not thrown the box it came in (only positive is that it looks better than other dehumidifiers) Read more

I think is a great product, slightly noisy but is more like a white noise for light sleepers. Design is fancy and wifi control top notch. I would recommend this LUKAS version over the non-wifi old model which is outdated (and for some wierd reason more expensive). Read more

It’s a great product, super high quality and great built. It’s very advanced and reduces the humidity very fast and the energy consumption is very low, it just added very little to our dewa bill after continuously running it. Recommend connecting it to a drain so you don’t have to empty it but you will need to purchase separate extension hose. The app is great, super easy to use and control remotely. Plus it is an air purifier as well, you just need to purchase the hepa filters which are around 100 aed . Totally worth it! Read more

After long hesitation I selected the The Lukas dehumidifier and so far very happy after 1 month of use. The Goods: - VERY efficient at absorbing humidity. Impressed - The 4L tank is easy to remove and to empty - Level of noise is really minimal, barely noticeable with specific night setup - and there is the App. I'm so happy with this one, allows full control of the Lukas when away from home, with even full tank warnings - Not to forget, after setup, the Lukas remains connected on your wifi, even after full power off. Bravo! The Bads: - Price is high, but understanding you have a sturdy and professional dehumidifier, with a functional app and strong wifi connection - a suggestion, wheels could be all-directions instead single-direction, but this is a minor 'bad'.
