Cool but too small for records?

This is cool enough looking and I bought it because it showed I could put Records in the bottom. But the bottom is just a little too small for Records to stand straight up. In this photo they’re tucked into the little nook on the corner, but could never stand up straight or put a bunch of records in there. A bit of a letdown for sure. I was looking to add bedside tables to my room without adding a more heavy furniture look to a small room - these are perfect!! Hiding any chords would be the only issue but it doesn't bother me. A little bonus I wasn't expecting, my alarm clock projects the time on the ceiling.
