In typical fashion of most foreign products that are sold on Amazon, there isn't any quality control. This is not Amazon's fault. It is the suppliers fault. I purchased this product hoping that I would be able to use it right away. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Step 1 shows that you have to install a power button so you can turn the pi on. This power button was not included within the packaging. I have no way to power the pi on once installed within the included case. I now have to purchase a second case so I can mount the pi and the cooler. I don't understand how a vital item such as a power button could be missed. It's step 1 within the instructions. Read more

I started with Raspberry Pi 3 years ago with a bare board. However, with Raspberry Pi 4 and 5, you'd need more powerful power supply and proper heat control. This set is great for anyone who do not want to walk through different aisles to pick up power adapters, heat sinks, and SD card. I can set up a functional and reliable Raspberry Pi 5 system with this set for less than 10 mins. I don't have to worry about whether the power adapter is muscle enough or if the Pi will get over heated. With the case, it also prevents accidental circuit short and make it look stylish. Product is exactly as described. I am personally not very tech savvy, however, super easy to assemble and instructions were pretty clear. Although the instructions are a bit unclear on applying the thermal stickers, you can easily go through other reviews to see how people installed them. I really like the nice classic fan, and the slim design on the power cord, everything is there to get you going. I wish some items were sold cheaper separately as I now have quite a collection of extra parts but it always seems more worth the price getting this package. I do wish the cases were given a choice however. This is an example of added waste. Since I most certainly want some hat for the pi their case won’t work. There are two highly recommended replacement case I would suggest KKSB case with space for hats is a nice metal case but you need to go with shorter hats the hats for large ssd cards get so tight you need to “stretch” your case. Go with max ssd 2230 or 2242 you get into issues with this case on the 2280 cards. If you want 2280 willing to spend a little more on cases and might have. I have one pi with 4 hats. Go with the ElectroCookie case you can modify it great with this kit. A bit bigger design but still cute and compact. You end up with not using their fan setup, but the fan in this kit is perfectly suited. I haven’t tried the most expensive case out their I know of like 70 something. I do hear they throw in a few other benefits like full size hdmi output converters the added price might be worth it factoring in the cost of cable converters. But I still like this cookie for most my pi’s. or the smaller metal case about 2/3rd the size and half the price. Even if you don’t start with a hat you’ll find almost certainly want to play with AI and memory. Oh my favorite hat for memory is ssd 52pi small form factor one and I find I also get their 1 x 2 pcie converter hat. I’m itching to try the 1x4 pcie card from them. There is a pine board 1 x 2 but delivery is weeks not days. So haven’t tried them. Anyway this kit by far is the best all around kit for the money. . I just wish you could buy your own kits by design and leave out what you don’t use and get the stuff you do all in one. Best purchase ever made. This item works straight out the box with no problem. I'm a programmer so I make robots and love to make them do a variety of tasks and this raspberry pi 5 makes it very responsive and easy to work with. Can be used as a desktop as well but for making robots it works wonders. I recommend. Read more
