My wife likes to do these kind of kits and has a lot of experience with them. She really liked this one and said it was good quality overall. She said the instructions were lacking which wasn't a major problem for her but I could guess that it might be an issue for someone with less experience or someone who has to set it up perfectly. She kind of did her own thing with the parts she wasn't sure of. She's happy with the final results so I am too, just beware someone looking to follow instructions to the T might be upset. Read more

I've been really getting into building block sets lately, & this one looked like it would be fun. I didn't pay attention to the fact that it says that it is a MINI building blocks set, so I want to point that out. For having only 21 steps, this is a deceptive hard build. I had a lot of fun building it, but it took me 3 HOURS to finish steps 20 & 21, which are literally just finishing everything, & putting on the cover. I kept having to redo the sunflowers because they would fall apart on me as I was trying to put the cover on, or some other piece would fall over. I also ended up using glue as I went through for a few of the sections, as I just could not get the pieces to stay together. FINALLY, I just gave up, put the cover on, with the sunflowers kind of toppled in the middle. As someone with OCD, this drives me nuts that I couldn't get it "right", but I was just really frustrated at not being done after so many hours of doing the same thing with the results not changing. It still looks good, & I am honestly impressed with the colors of the flowers, even if mine isn't "perfect". I was very surprised at how many leftover pieces I had with this. Normally, I will have maybe 5 or so pieces, & I'll just add them somewhere on the build for a little extra flair. However, with as small as this build is, the fact it's under a dome, the fact you really don't have a lot of extra space to work with, & I had something like 30 extra pieces (maybe more), I wasn't going to try & add anything to the build. Overall, I still enjoyed this. I do not recommend this for younger children at all though. There are way too many small parts, & it can be difficult. Read more
