I've been using the ECOVACS Deebot Y1 Pro 2-In-1 Robot Vacuum Cleaner for the past month, and I'm very happy with its performance. The vacuuming feature is excellent – it does a thorough job, and the floor feels noticeably cleaner after each use. The dusting ability is impressive, picking up dust and debris with ease. However, the mopping feature is somewhat average. While it does the job, it doesn’t follow a zig-zag pattern, which means it can miss some spots or require additional passes to get the floor thoroughly cleaned. One thing I find a bit inconvenient is that, in the mobile app, we can select either dusting or mopping individually, but if we choose dusting only, we need to manually remove the mopping plate before the vacuuming session. This process can be a bit tedious. Pros: Effective Dusting: The vacuum performs great at picking up dust and debris, leaving floors feeling clean. Convenient App Control: The mobile app allows for easy control and scheduling of cleaning tasks. Multi-Functionality: It combines both vacuuming and mopping, making it versatile. Good Suction Power: It provides strong suction power for deep cleaning. Quiet Operation: It runs relatively quietly compared to other robot vacuums. Cons: Mopping Could Be Better: The mopping feature doesn’t follow an ideal pattern (like zig-zag), which may leave certain areas less clean. Manual Plate Removal: Switching between dusting and mopping requires removing the mopping plate, which can be a bit of a hassle. Battery Life: While decent, the battery life could be a little longer for larger spaces. Overall, the ECOVACS Deebot Y1 Pro is a solid product that has made daily cleaning much easier. While the mopping could be improved, the vacuuming functionality makes up for it, and I’d recommend it for those looking for an affordable and effective cleaning solution. I own a Deebot Omni for over a year now. After a while, the washing pads became a colony of bacteria (because of hot water clean function which is a perfect environment for bacteria). The whole house now stinks terribly whenever Deebot starts cleaning and drying the pads. There is nothing you can do unless you change the pads. Cleaning solution does not help. I heard adding a bit of bleach may help but Deebot must find a better way to fix this. Read more
