It is very soft but it takes many many passes to rinse off thoroughly so even though it is gentle you do still get very clean. I really wanted to love this product but it destroyed my skin barrier. I do have dry skin which this cleanser was suitable for but apparently more sensitive than I thought. I wish I had of looked at the ingredients properly and the placements. Upon looking this cleanser has orange and lemon essential oil, and the vanilla and strawberry aspect of the cleanser is placed 5th and 4th last on the ingredient list. The orange is so overpowering you can hardly smell the strawberry and vanilla. I only wish I hadn’t spent so much money on this product as I’ve barely used it and now it’s just going to be wasted. I have sensitive skin and this stuff works great without irritating me at all, but if you do have a rash or anything like that I'd avoid it like any scented products. It lasts a really long time as a daily cleanser---I bought a replacement thinking that it was running out, and here I am, almost two months later and still going on the old bottle. I recently switched cleansers because the weather has been severely drying out my skin. This product was a LIFESAVER. My skin is plump and hydrated after cleansing (which wasn't the case with past products). On top of that, a little goes a long way with this. Decided to finally give this a try after hearing you don't need to double cleanse with this! Usually my go-to is the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam but I must say this whipped cleanser feels great! Makes my skin feel great (for someone with dry skin) and a small amount goes a long way which made me feel better about the price. It's too early to decide whether this will top the Skin1004 for my holy grail BUT, so my experience with it so far has been perfect. I honestly really love it! I have combination skin and it works very well. The consistency is very soft and lightweight it feels very smooth on my skin. Whenever I bought it I was expecting a vanilla strawberry scent but i was surprised with a more citrusy orange blossom scent. Regardless it still smells great and it cleans my skin without making it feel too dry or tight and it also leaves my skin feeling moisturized as well. I saw some reviews about the product leaving their skin with some redness so I was a bit nervous but after i used it I didn’t notice anything like that. I used to use the La Roche Posay blue clear bottle and I like this one a lot more. Also, a little DEFINITELY goes a long way. I can tell it’ll last me a while.
