This is a 2 pack of lightsabers with a black aluminum hilt and polycarbonate blade. The lightsabers are turned on by holding the power button for three seconds, and there are 15 different colors that you can cycle through one at a time by pressing the power button a single time. Pressing the power button twice or three times quickly will turn silent mode on and off. The 3 "sounds modes" for these appear to be the sound when the lights sabers collide and blink, when you change colors, and when you turn them on. The length of these lightsabers including the hilt is just over 30 inches with the blade itself being 21 inches, so these are a bit shorter than other comparable similar ones available. The blinking and sound effects when the lightsabers collide is acceptable, but is not always consistent. Sometimes they blink and make noise when they collide, and sometimes they blink and make the collision sound when you swing them quickly or abruptly. Additionally, the biggest drawback to these lightsabers is that the white polycarbonate blades have a bit of play/wobble of a degree or so where they rock side to side during normal play. The assumption is this is how the sensor for the collision detection is activated, but other brands of quality lightsabers do not have the same wobble. For this reason, one star was deducted. Battery life appears to be as stated, as they were played with for over an hour without recharging them and they still worked. The bottom compartment can be unscrewed to access the batteries and wiring. These also come with a connector that allows you to attach them to form a double-bladed lightsaber, which is great and works well. Much heavier than expected but in a good way. Incredibley durable for my 8 year old to use. One of the lights is sort of lose fitting into the black holder but it hasn’t affected any playtime. The charge lasts a few plays and the different colors illuminate bright & beautifully! It even makes sounds. My favorite part is the single sword functionality. amazing value for the money spent.
