Fantastic little Toy! Beautifully designed, light and compact, with excellent video and stills for a drone in this price range. It will fly for around 10 mins on a charged battery, recharging takes a bit of time as it’s just USB. If you need more flight time, get more batteries, a 3rd and/or even a fourth battery. I wish I had 2 more. I really couldn’t be very much happier with the product for its price. Only issue is that the slightest of wind will completely blow drown off course. First and most important, Holy Stone is a fantastic company. Their customer service goes way above to satisfy and aid in support. I emailed them with an issue and they promptly responded. Not only did they respond, but they actually read and understood my issue. In my long life, this has become almost extinct They completely solved my issue. Absolutely fantastic!!! I am a real novice to drone flying. I live in Florida and am a senior citizen. I should note here that I held a twin private pilot license for twenty years. Because I have no intention to get up on a ladder anymore, I wanted a device that I could inspect my roof and gutters. With that in mind, I decided to try drones. I had never played any computer games using game controller’s and knew that it was a special skill. After researching drones, I landed (pun intended), on the Holy Stone 430. It has the basic functions I was looking for. I received the drone and first charged the batteries. While charging I read the instructions twice and made preflight notes. I found it very simple without most of the more expensive drones had, such as brushless motors, GPS etc. This drone has met my expectations and the need to learn the basics. After 4 weeks of flying the 430 and comparing it to the other 2 drones similar in cost and size, this drone you really have to fly. The altitude hold is marginal, and even with a lot of manual trim added, this drone moves way to fast with the slightest movement of the controller joysticks. This actually became a plus…. Take your time and be aware of the sensitivity of controllers. It also was a breeze to connect it to the app so I could take pictures and videos to my iPhone XR. Here are my preflight notes: To start flying First turn on drone place in takeoff level floor Turn on controller Pair by pushing the left joystick up then down To Calibrate gyro press both joysticks down to right and hold till you hear a beep To Unlock motors press both joysticks down and inward. To Trim, push left and with right, opposite of drift Before takeoff, manually position camera how you want to see it in app Single press top left will take picture, double press will take video. Will store the data to my iPhone Charging battery Once controller beeps then land remove battery. Let cool down then put on charger Takes 1:45 minutes to return to full charge. Read more

I am at this point an "advanced beginner" with drones. Had a couple toy ones, Bought this HS430 (and a HS720G) to up my game. I am using this model (HS430) to train before flying the more expensive drone in surveilling our homestead. Pros: Easy to fly Stable once you get it trimmed Can handle a slight breeze well for mini drone Responsive controls Big enough for outside but small enough for inside No FAA registration required. Sturdy- survived losts of crashes into walls ( I said I was using this for training 😎) Cons: No case - (I really wish they had included one) Tail light could be more visible. Lost remote signal and started drifting away at about 120 feet distance No return to home feature/button Absolutely NO information in the manual about the HSFPV phone app Good drone but could be better. This is my son's 4th drone and easily his favorite so far. Everything about this drone is great. Battery life is decent, they give you 3 batteries, charge time is a little slow, but if you keep them charged regularly it's not bad. Flight control is fantastic, drone hovers easily in place, despite no GPS. Use the trim controls if it starts to drift. He flies it multiple times a day and so far it's been great. He uses it probably more than most kids. The first one we got, a motor went bad after a few weeks, but they replaced it for free (through Amazon). Great customer service. Quick response. They do sell replacement motors, so worst case we could have got it back up and running again if we couldn't do the return. But the drone is robust. It flies great, is super stable in the air, it's fast in speed mode, has some cool tricks too. Connects to the app with no issues, records video and takes pictures, which are acceptable, not great, but for the kids it's just fine. We have had no issues so far. Love that the battery just slides in and out super easy, no small wires/connectors to mess with (like the Syma one we also have, which my son never flies, even though it was supposed to be better, has worse flight time and never connected to the app correctly). Holystone in my opinion is probably the best of the toy drone market, though they do appear to have some drones that rival DJI, I don't have any experience with them. But I would buy one of the more expensive ones for me, just based on my experience with the Holystone ones we have used. It's smaller than you'd expect, but it perfect for roaming around the house. It can fly outside but winds have to be very light to zero, otherwise you just fight the wind the whole time. But this is a great drone for beginners. My son has been flying drones for a couple of years now so he picked this one up right away with no issues. He loves it though, so I can definitely recommend it. I purchased this to learn how to fly a drone. I am very pleased with how it handles and battery time (about 10 minutes average), which is not bad because it comes with 3 batteries. It gets pushed around a little bit in the wind due to its small size and weight. I found that using the higher speed setting tames the wind better. I do not use the headless mode because I want to develop better control skills. The little drone has great response to the controller. It is well made and durable. I have had a couple of minor crashes and so far it's unscathed. HolyStone has hit the mark with an inexpensive, well made, easy to fly drone to learn piloting skills on. It's also loads of fun. I am a new Drone user so this is from someone that has never controlled one before and also I am old, over 70 years so I was not sure which drone was best for me. I wanted one that was simple to learn,fpv-wifi, live video, ability for photos and a solid build as I was sure that I would crash many times. After looking at 100 or so ad's I decided that Holy Stone HS 430 would be a good choice, price, build, and company reputation as they make high end drones down to mini ones. When the drone arrived it was shipped in a bag, no box, so I was a bit concerned of damage. No worry as the drone was in a plastic like container and protected inside the bag. Opening package I was a little surprised at the size (its a mini drone) but the drone is made with very high end armored type plastic and comes with all the listed parts. I read the complete instructions, charged the battery's' lined up the drone and off it went. I crashed 3 or 4 times in a row but the drone didn't have any damage. The battery kept a charge for my first outing 1/2 hour and maybe 10 total min. of fly time. The controls were perfect, No damage at all to the body or blades. Picture on my phone was very sharp, and the app was easy to download and use. For the price and the way this thing is constructed I would say its a super deal for a learner drone and one that would be fun for a seasoned operator to play with. Being new, I was pleased at the lift off and really surprised at the speed this thing has. The control's work good, the operator not so good, but I am looking forward to getting better at flying. In summary this is a good deal, a strong body, great instructions, motors seem to be really good, Live video is really clear and sharp. I have no bad things to say about this drone.
