I love this set. I'm new to gouache, and this probably isn't the best set for beginners, but I've been painting a long time. these are nice and thick- a little goes a long way, nice and pigmented, blendable and layer well, if you use the right technique. Of course, you should probably be semi-experienced in gouache or even just painting to get these because they require some technique and experience, but they work amazingly, they don't dry up, I mean I went out of country ALL of December and never even touched these. It's March now, I just opened them and they're all still moist. Just be careful! Don't be like me and forget about them. Spray them weekly, even if you aren't using them! Read more

After watching some fun Pinterest videos of gouache artists my son expressed interest in trying it. This brand was recommended by one of the artists so we decided to purchase and try. The quality seems good, though we are novices and don’t know anything else so can’t compare, but my son found it easy to use and follow along on the videos he watched. I do love that this paint is so easy to clean up when you’re done and washes easily out of brushes. He is still working on learning how to blend without the colors getting too muddy. But I think it looks beautiful and that it’s a great value to start with if you want to dip your toe in experimenting with this medium. The variety of colors is also a big plus.
