At first, I didn’t think this Dear Dahlia liquid blush would really show up. It’s a beautiful candy pink in the tube, and when I dotted a bit on my hand to test it out, it showed up as that beautiful candy pink there too but when it rubbed it in it disappeared. However, on my cheeks it shows up much better. It’s just the right amount of flush, like after you exerted yourself a little bit. It’s a luminescent dewy finish so it looks best with makeup that’s also dewy. I have my own natural redness to contend with, so I rarely use blush. But since I started using a higher coverage foundation I thought a little light enhancement might be fun. This came highly recommended by my sister, who is a hardcore makeup enthusiast. (I'm not. I'm so clueless, so I was really happy for her recommendations.) This is very liquidy - almost milky in texture, but that makes it spread and blend very easily and lightly, leaving a sheen of tint that looks really natural. I got the color "Taffy" which I thought at first would be too pink, but I'm cooler toned, and once blended in the barbie pink became a really nice fresh natural glow. Th texture of this liquid blush is smooth and blendable, and the application process using the doe foot wand was easy. But I found the color payoff kind of weak. I tried to build up the color, but I felt like my skin just ate it. Maybe this shade (TAFFY) is too light for me? I have a light, cool olive skintone and I'm pretty pale at the moment, so not sure about that. I do have some surface redness though, so maybe this color is too light to compete. Unfortunately I can't comment on longevity since I couldn't get this product to show up on my face in the first place. I’ve really been enjoying this cream blush from Dear Dahlia. The texture is super smooth and silky, and it applies so easily. The applicator is handy too—makes the whole process effortless. It's got a nice, dewy finish that looks great if you’re into that glowy look, which I totally am. What I love most about it is how hydrating it is. I have dry skin, and struggle with rosacea and redness, and creme products often make my cheeks feel tight or flaky, but not this one. Even hours later, my skin feels just as moisturized as before I put it on. I’m super pale, so I was worried it’d look too pink or too much, but it blends in really well with my skin tone and gives me just the right amount of color.
