I've got a number of different power banks for different purposes, but this one is quickly becoming my favorite for off-grid adventures. For starters, it packs a lot of power, enough that I can get through an entire weekend of recharging cell phones and accessories like USB powered camp fans and LED lights without fully depleting the battery. Add to that the fact that I can just leave it sitting in the sun and it recharges on its own. With the solar panels unfolded and in full sunlight, I have yet to fully empty the power reserve under what I would call normal use, meaning there's at least one device plugged in almost all the time. That's really all I could ask for in a portable charging bank. Materials and construction quality are good, and the shell of the power bank feels rugged and durable. The corners are covered with rubber bumpers to protect against drops. The solar panels are attached to a vinyl leatherette material which works fine, but I wonder about the longevity of the material after lots folding and sun exposure. The LED lamp and flashlight are nice additions although the power switch isn't exactly obvious and can be difficult to locate in the dark. Overall, this is a really handy power bank that makes a great addition to my gear bag. It's perfect for weekend trips to the beach and our local state park. Recommended. Read more

Update 7/31/2023: I went camping. I brought this pack because it has solar charging. I topped off two rechargeable fans which brought the battery guage down to two bars from four/full. I then hung this up in the sunlight (facing south, no shadow) to recharge. The green solar charging LED came on and the gas guage showed charging activity. Eight hours later the pack had not charged at all. The green charging indicator was still lit; the top two gas guage leds were not lit. And the fold out solar panels were falling apart. Good thing I brought backup (non-solar) packs. Initial Review: The battery pack arrived about half charged. I put it out on a cloudy day for about six hours and moved to about 3/4 charged. I finished charging via a USB-C charger. The blue USB-A and the USB-C port will do fast charging but not super fast charging. It has one button and two lights: a focused light and a panel light. Double-press to turn on the panel light. Singles presses cycle through three brightness levels. Double press about to turn off the panel. Press and hold to turn on the focused light. Single presses then cycle to SOS then strobe then off. One concern is that sitting over night unused the battery dropped from four lights down to three. Over all, for now, this is four stars. This useful solar power bank folds up compactly and remains secured with a snap. A robust protective “bumper” protects the battery. Included is the cutest locking carabiner I’ve ever seen! This diminutive ‘biner can be utilized to help hang or otherwise secure the unit. It is robust for what it is, but of course is not rated. I am unwilling to fully trust any carabiner this tiny and recommend that a back-up “belay” (method of securing) be utilized. USB ports are protected by a deep, tight silicone cover that appears more than adequate to keep the electronics sealed from rain, wind, and dust. Cables inserted smoothly into all ports. An integrated tiny compass has limited usefulness but is better than nothing in a critical situation. Flashlight and camping light are bright and functions adjustable…but it is the power bank that is most important. There is a lot I don’t understand about charging units but it is clear that this one has plenty of power when fully charged. Along with the product instructional brochure, the seller included an insert that was very honest about this device’s limitations, precautions, hazards, and how to obtain the best performance. I was impressed by the seller’s honesty, educational explanations, and refusal to make overly optimistic or questionable claims. This is rare in the competitive marketplace and speaks to the integrity of this company! I initially planned to take this solar charging power bank on an international trip because it has become increasingly evident that charging phones and other small mobile devices, even with a step-down power adapter, can be problematic. However, after trying this unit out and reading the seller’s highly informative brochure, I am evaluating other options. Even though this device is compact and lightweight for what it is, its limitations are not a good fit with this particular trip. This charging bank seems especially well-suited for car camping and home use during power outages. We live in a rural forested area: it is not “if” there will be a prolonged outage, but “when”.
