I usually use waterproof mascara so that it won't flake or smudge throughout the day, but this tubing mascara holds firm all day long! It hasn't budged since I started wearing it daily this past week, in all sorts of weather conditions. And it comes off soooo easily with my regular makeup removing solution and a face cloth! This is a tubing mascara. I hadn’t heard of these until I did some internet research. Apparently the mascara wraps itself around the individual lashes and they are usually more expensive than this one (which was recommended by several people). I first tried it over the mascara I was already wearing, just because I wanted to try it when it arrived. This made a difference but I also tried it again the next morning, when applying my makeup from scratch. The wand is narrow which gives you the ability to make fine touches, and to manipulate it without missing the lashes (and getting some of your face!). It applies evenly and there was no clumping. I have been using a well know brand for years now, but had noticed some clumping so wanted to try something else (hence the research). The research also advised I apply mascara in general with a zigzag motion, as the brush goes along the length of the lashes, to increase the effect. I didn’t know this and so have been doing this too. It is a good, deep black colour. The length definitely increases on application. No clumping. This is my new favourite drugstore tubing mascara! I find it gives great length and doesn't clump, and doesn't flake like a lot of tubing mascaras. Maybe after 12+ hours, or if you rub your eyes a lot, you'll get a few flakes but otherwise it's decent! It's easy to remove, I just splash some water on my face and eyelids a few times, and the mascara slides off. I don't know if it's my eye shape or lash line, but I can't seem to get through the day with a regular mascara without it smudging onto my undereye area. I discovered tubing mascara, but found the $30+ options at Sephora not worth it. I was determined to find a drugstore option. I've tried the L'Oreal double extend and it actually caused lash breakage! My natural lashes were getting shorter and stubbier so I ditched it and they started growing back. I tried Essence's Bye Bye Panda Eyes - hated it, didn't feel like a true tubing mascara as much as it was removable with water. I tried the Milani tubing mascara, and LOVED it for the length but it would flake so much. So finally I tried this one, and I think I'll keep purchasing! Also, just do yourself a favour and if your mascara starts to feel drier, clumpy, or flaking more than usual, just buy a new one. It really does make a difference if you replace them every 3 months or so. Read more
